Halloween Costume Time!

Just got the email saying that the costume I ordered for Pimp from Target shipped! I can't wait to get it!

I dress him up every year, (No, he doesn't like it. Yes, I LOVE it.) He's been Elvis, a biker dude, a pumpkin, a pimp, a devil and probably more that I can't remember. Anyway, this year he's going to be a dinosaur. RARRRRRRR...

How to Break Up a Cat Fight

Just in case any of you are ever around a cat fight, here is a surefire way to break it up -- no force necessary.

I'm not sure I'd ever use this tactic, but it does seem to work...

Look Who Came to Visit...

Sunday night I came home from a weekend away and this little cutie ran right up to me in the parking lot. I'd never seen him before and he was soooo friendly.

All rubs and purrs.

So of course I fed him. And watered him. And petted him outside my front door for 20 minutes even though it was late and I was tired. This poor kitty needed a little lovin.

Anyway, last night I was sitting on the couch and realized I hadn't seen Kitty Kitty all day (that's his/her name -- I haven't checked yet), so I went out in the parking lot and starting calling him, "Kitty Kitty... Kitty Kitty..." and he came!

I hope he's someone's outside kitty and he's not lost or abandoned. He's really such a friendly thing...

In keeping with the "Scary Toy" theme for the day, here's a fierce chihuahua family that really, really doesn't like this big, bad toy dog.

It's not unusual to be scared of certain toys. Plenty of people are scared of clowns or weirded out by those alarming porcelain dolls. For this little kitten, it's the same sort of thing.

Except that he's scared of a mouse. And he's perfected the attack-and-run tactic.

Otters Holding Hands

This is one of the sweetest, most adorable things I've ever seen. Here a two little otters happily floating on their backs and holding hands, or paws, or whatever otters have. Either way, they are precious.

What makes it even cuter is when they drift apart... then back together... You'll see.



Sad update: I just read that one of these little otters died. She was one of the few remaining survivors of the Exxon Valdez oil spill... and from what they say, the fact that she lived this long (and had a baby, too!) was a miracle by itself. R.I.P. little otter!

I'm not one to watch Star Wars, but I could watch this little girl talk about it for hours.

She really breaks it down to a level everyone can understand. And by all means, whatever you do, don't talk back to Darth Vader...

Whateva...

You see, this is the problem with America: We're starting them with the dumb stuff way too early in life. This poor girl is going to grow up saying "whateva" and not even know any better. Then she'll teach her kids, and they'll teach their kids, and we'll all think it's cute -- until, 50 years from now, we realize people are still saying "whateva" and we kill ourselves.

She is cute though. Gotta give her that...
