Really Cute Doggie Cookies!

How cute are these cookies?!?

So... I was googling to answer a great debate I was having with myself for my last post about whether it was "doggie" or "doggy" -- and these cute doggie cookies came up in the results! Natually, I clicked for a better look.

I'm not exactly sure about the recipe (it's in grams and crazy units like that), but wouldn't these be precious to make? Right now, I think they're fun to just look at, but I'll keep you posted if I actually Betty-Crocker them myself.

Cute Pet Turkey: Gobble, Gobble!

Don't get me wrong: I eat the heck out of some turkey on Thanksgiving. I have no problem gobbling up some gobble.

BUT, just look at Giselle the turkey... She's some lady's pet and, apparently, Giselle follows her around everywhere. They look so much cuter when they're still all feathered, don't they?

I thought I got tired running, imagine having all those legs to get going! Now, I don't eat shrimp (or anything that comes out of the water), but that doesn't mean I can't laugh at them.

Poor little shrimpy. He's probably running for his life... or the melted butter.

Roomba Cat Goes for a Little Ride...

As if I didn't want one of these before, this Roomba Cat video makes me really want one now. This cat just hops on his Roomba and cruises around the house...

If I ever got one of these (which, let's face it, I probably won't), I wonder what Pimp would do

a) Be scared of it and hide under the bed like a little fraidy cat.
b) "Get low" and investigate it until he's comfortable, then go for a ride.
c) Hop on for a ride, but crush it beneath his considerable girth.

I'm going with C. Either way, watch the Roomba Cat video -- it's all over the place right now and it's super cute!

We all know I love animals, but I absolutely lerrrrve baby animals. (Lerve: To delight in another's existence beyond what can be expressed with a mundane word like love.)

They came out of a hiding on a mountain in a cloud forest in Indonesia... It's been 85 years since anyone has seen one alive... until now.

Apparently, Furbys are for real.

Scientists and environmentalists and all those types are call them "pygmy tarsiers," but let's be real here: These primates look just like Furbys.

Anyway, welcome back, cute little buddies. We're glad you decided to come out of hiding and say hello after so long. If I'd known you were gone, I would definitely have missed you!

Finally! A Tax Break for Pet Owners

I got this in an email last week and it just cracked me right up.

The formula to calculate your pet tax refund is perfect and priceless, even figuring in a "Snookums Tax" (the number of nicknames you have for your pet) and a "Piranha Credit" for the number of other household pets your pet has destroyed (if lizards and bugs were considered household pets, Pimp would make me a millionaire!).

I so wish this was real. I filled it out for fun and, according to my calculations, I should be getting a $6,290 refund...

A Sticky Situation: Cat vs. Tape

Before I get started here, let me sneak in a little disclaimer: While I did laugh out loud... by myself... several times... and even thought about "trying this at home," I would never do this to my own cat. However, there's nothing wrong with laughing at something that's already been done, right?

Now, that being said, THIS IS SO FUNNY! This guy puts tape on his cat, and the poor thing just doesn't know what to do. I mean, I knew the cat would probably walk funny (the first tape placed on his back results in what I call "getting low"), but I had no idea that it would get even better if you taped, say, the side of the cat.

Cat Eats with a Fork

"On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate her table manners a 7."

Who said cat's aren't smart? I'd like to see a dog do this. This cat eats with a fork, and chopsticks, and even (wait for it...) a spork!

I have no earthly idea how someone could train their cat to eat like this. I know when I feed Pimp, it's everyone for themselves -- and got help you if accidentally keep a finger or your hand near the food bowl too long when dumping the kibble in... you might lose it.

I suspect a little trickery here, but either way, it really is amazing.

Saturday Morning Cartoons Flashback: Tigger!

The wonderful thing about Tiggers is that Tiggers are wonderful things! That's T-I-double guh-er!

Man, cartoons used to be so cool. What happened to Saturday morning cartoons? Now they're all Japanimated and real and violent... I was flipping through the stations a couple weeks ago and got SO EXCITED to see Inspector Gadget (now that's a cartoon!) -- and then I realized it was dubbed over in Spanish. Major bummer.

I miss Jem and Ducktails and the Smurfs and the Snorks... Oh well. Here's a flashback -- Tigger!

Little Girl Tells the CUTEST Fairy Tale

No really, I think that makes it even cuter, because of her little voice and the way she says the words. So much expression, so much enthusiasm, so much imagination.

It's a dramatic tales of hippos, monkey, witches and popotamuses (What is that?! No matter; I'm sure they're precious.) I love her and this is another example of how cute I imagine my future-child will be (Here's the other example.)

And as my sister said, I wish she could tell me stories every night before I go to sleep...

Why is This So Cute?

Not sure why I think this is so cute, but here's about 30 seconds of a cat drinking water. That's it. Just a cat drinking water...

But it's so darn cute for some reason. I mean, his chunky little face takes up the whole camera! And his little tongue just laps and laps.

Cute Pet Spotlight: Camo Puppy

OK, here's an idea: a "Cute Pet Spotlight" every now and then! Send me your kitties, your doggies and birds. Your hampsters, lizards, monkeys and tigers (oh, please, someone send me a tiger...), and they can have their moment of fame on the internets.

Our first Cute Pet Spotlight is Batly, a huggalicious boston terrier/corgie mix sent in by his mom, Julia.

Puppy or Chicken?

"It's remarkable how much Percy looks like a chicken..."

And it really is. Like one of those rubber chickens. Apparently, Percy the cute French bulldog sleeps like this all the time. There are TONS of videos of him sleeping.

First, I couldn't believe his owners had nothing better to do that video their dog sleeping -- and doesn't it get old? But then I realized I'd do the EXACT same thing.

They disabled embedding, so I can't put it right here, but check it out. Really cute. Poor thing.

Unicorns and Cupcakes

A delightful look into the life of the unicorn (why they're fat, I don't know... but I'm thinking it has something to do with cupcakes). These are such cute unicorns, too! By far the cutest ones I've ever seen.

Barack Makes Me Purr -- Obama Cat!

On the eve of the day I hopefully crack open a bottle of "change champagne," I took the obvious opportunity to dress up my dear cat, Pimp. Barack Obama makes him purr.

Also, you'll note that while he is clearly not happy, he is also clearly not as unhappy as he's been in other get-ups I've forced him to wear. This, by the way, is an Obama T-shirt I bought online that is about the most ill-fitted thing I've ever owned. I would have junked it by now, but it's just so damn cute. I mean, look at it... Baa-rock.

Besides, Pimp is an Obama Cat and he makes it look good. :)
