Kitty Cam Live Video Stream!

As a cat person, this to me is as big as the Shibu Inu puppy cam!

These 7-week old kittens are on this live kitty cam looking to find the perfect home by Valentines Day. They're names are Happy, Sneezy, Bashful, Grumpy, Dopey, Doc and Sleepy. Can you saw awww?

Jerry Doesn't Need Help Playing with His Ball...

Let me start off by saying that I love dachshunds. I want one. Always have for some reason. And when I get him, his name will be Frank. Frank doesn't know it yet, but I've already got big plans for him.

One of them may be be to hook him up with an automatic fetching machine like Jerry's.

Jerry is one lucky dachshund. His human daddy spent two years building this automatic fetching machine -- and look how fun it is! And how cool of Jerry to learn how to use it?!

Poodle Picks the Super Bowl Winner!

This poodle's on fire. He's on a 6-0 streak right now and, as far as I can tell, this is about as scientific a pick as any of those overpaid ESPN analysts. For all we know, they make their picks the same way...

Meet Pepper. He picks the winner based on which food looks tastiest. Whichever bowl he eats out of, that's his pick.

He's a 5-month old baby red panda, but doesn't he kind of look like a cute raccoon, only reddish? He could hang out at my apartment complex's dumpster and fit right in with the other critters...

(Except this guy's cuter. And probably friendlier, no doubt.)

Just figured I'd put up this video after hearing some unfortunate news about him. According to his youtube page, poor Sparta has been diagnosed with feline leukemia. :(

The good news is that he doesn't seem to be in any pain and is still playing around like usual and all. And his owners are looking into long-term solutions to keep him healthy. Yay Sparta!

Moo: The Newest Member of My Family!

Well, those of you that have been following know Moo the cat showed up on my porch a few weeks ago. I've been feeding him, petting him, loving him and worrying about him since then.

And he's been steadily working his little way into my little heart -- and it worked! As of last night, I brought him in and am the proud mommy of a Moo.

Now, I've been the proud mommy of a Pimp for nine years now, so naturally I'm a little worried about him adjusting, but I think it'll all work out OK. They seem to tolerate each other right off, so that's good. I know they'll be best friends real soon!

Skateboarding Dog

This bulldog is one cool dude!

Meet Tillman, the skateboarding bulldog. He's from Venice Beach and his totally rad skills have even gotten him in an iPhone commercial.

He was only about a year and a half old in this video and is apparently a much better skateboarder now (Better?! He's already way better here than I'd ever be...).

Cat Takes Over Weather Report

Today's weather is mostly sunny, with a slight chance of showers. Looks like we've got a cat moving in from the west...

Lupin the cat calmly walks into the live report, and the weatherman just scoops him up and keeps on going. Every news station should have a resident cat. I'd so much rather watch Lupin than, say, Rick Sanchez on CNN...



Too bad I don't speak German -- I'd love to hear what's he's saying about the cat strolling in. Surely he comments. :)

Oh Rats... Rat Loves Cat!

We all learned from watching Tom and Jerry that cats generally want to tear meeces to pieces, right? Wrong...

Meet Peanut the rat and Ranj the cat -- best buds (well, it looks like the cat tolerates the rat anyway). Peanut gives kisses and hugs and lots of love... He's really the cutest thing!

Mirror, Mirror Kitty

Why buy toys for your kitten when you can just plop him in front of a mirror with a pair of your shoes? Hours of entertainment!

He's got a friend in the mirror (who he's slightly scared of) and a place to hide in the shoes. What more could a kitty ask for?

Siren Dog - Sound the Alarm!

If you let Oscar the boxer hang his head out the window of you car and let him siren-ate (Is that a word? Sure.) like this, I'm pretty sure people would slow and move to the right to get out of your way.

If I'm late for work, I want him in my car. If I (ever) go into labor and have to rush to the hospital, I want him in my car. If I'm just really hungry and can't get to McDonald's fast enough, I want him in my car.

Sad News... the White House Cat Died

OK, so it's not technically a "cute" thing, but we did just want to pass along that the Bush's pet cat, India, died today.

India was 18 years old, and according to her bio, she loved to stay and inside and visit the White House Library. Her favorite book was If You Take a Mouse to the Movies by Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond.

R.I.P. cute kitty!

Best Friends: A Dog and an Elephant

When retired elephants end up in this sanctuary in Tennessee, they always end up picking out a special friend to hang out with. Most pick another elephant, but not Tarra... Tarra's best friend is Bella, a dog.

The two have stuck together for years now, the sanctuary founder says. They play together, eat together, drink together -- Bella the dog even lets Tarra pet her tummy... with her giant elephant foot!

Through good and tough times, these two stick by each other's side. You'll love the story!

Sports Illustrated did a little catching up with some of Michael Vick's pitbulls -- and I'm so happy for them! The story was awful; the man is even more awful... but it looks like a happy ending for some of the poor doggies!

Wow. This is one of those pictures that just really touches you.

Looking at it, I'm a little sad and a little happy all at the same time. It's a heart-breaking picture that shows so much love.

Great, great shot. It's tough to see homeless pets -- not that it isn't tough to see homeless people, too, it's just that the pets can't do anything about it... I hope they have a nice, warm comfy place to sleep for cold nights.

UPDATE: I just did a little more reading and, as it turns out, this man's family was looking for him for almost two years. They saw this photo, and posted a comment asking for help finding him -- and they are now reunited! Makes the story even better. :)

Sneaky Raccoon Steals Door Mat

Some people are scared of raccoons, what with all the rabies and scabies and garbage-eating tendencies... but I think they're cute. In fact, if I this was happening in my house, I'd watch it go down, too, and gladly let the guy run off with my welcome mat.

What is he planning on doing with it anyway? Maybe he's redecorating his burrow (where do raccoons live?). Clearly, though, we underestimate a raccoon's sneakiness...
