I suppose today'll end up being zoo day at Your Daily Cute... (Did you see the kissing penguins from earlier?)

That said, I'd like to add "baby rhino" to my I WANT! list. He could live at my house and sleep on my couch and make cute baby rhino noises (I have no idea what noise baby rhinos make, but I'm assuming it's a cute little sound.)

Wouldn't it be cute if baby tigers stayed babies and never grew up? They're just like regular cats, only a little bigger, a little fiercer and they probably purr louder...

Crossing Guard Helps Cat Cross

A friend of mine found this aww-inspiring photo in a forum somewhere and passed it along -- and I had to put it up on the Cute!

If I was a crossing guard, I'd help cats and animals cross the street all day. Lord knows it was just two days ago that I was late to work because there was a turtle crossing and I had to shoo him to safety out of the road. And I can't count the times I've stopped to let duckies pass...

I wish I had more info on this picture though. If anyone does, please let me know!

Cute Kitty vs. Whole Watermelon

So much for picking on something your own size... This kitty shows this whole watermelon whose boss!

At the end of the fight, the watermelon had scratches, bites and bruises. Flanigan the kitten, however, was unscathed.

Cat Loves His Sour Apple Lollipop

If this were my cat, he'd be making all kinds of faces eating this sour apple lollipop. I'm thinking he'd probably make his "toothpaste face" -- which is similar to the "gum face."

This kitty here, though, doesn't seem to mind the sour flavor, which is fine by me. I prefer the watermelon flavor anyway. ;)

Fran and Marlo Cowen (Marlo turned 90 this year!) break out into an impromtu piano performance at the Mayo Clinic. They've been married 62 years... and I could watch their cute little video over and over 62 times!

Is it me or is everything in Japan just the cutest thing you ever did see? I mean, this is a PIZZA commercial...

Here in the great U. S., our pizza commercials consist of guys who've eaten too much pizza talking about sausage and meat -- no where near as cute as this commercial (the topping dance just kills me).

Pygmy Jerboa: One of the Cutest Weird Animals Ever!

If you've never heard of a pygmy jerboa before (Cute hadn't until now), then you've been missing out on some major cuteness.

He's a strange little fellow that is part of the rodent family, a cousin of hopping mice -- but with feet like remind me of a bird. I did a little research, and they typically live in the deserts of Asia and North Africa.

Bummer, I was hoping to run into one around here!

I can't say I'm surprised that this cute chunker wants to take a little nibble out of these baby bunnies -- it doesn't look like there's much Scooby the cat says no to when it comes to food...

Her mom keeps asking her if she likes the bath, and every single time poor little Smoke answers a long, miserable noooooo (at least it's clear to us that's what the kitty is saying), but the cat bath just goes on.

I've tried to bathe my cat, Pimp, a couple times. Now that he's big and strong enough to fight back, I won't be trying that anymore...

Cute Pet Spotlight: Mooshu the Floofy Puppy!

Awww... today's Cute Pet Spotlight is Mooshu, a yorkie/maltese mix puppy that I met over at Contrariwise Ramblings. He's about the cutest, floofiest (is that a word?) little thing I've ever seen!

Mooshu is just a tiny little thing (look at him next to the soup can!) and needs tiny little toys. His mommy tried to give him a tennis ball to play with, but it was too big. So she set out to find a smaller version -- and found a tiny tennis ball just his size... and he loves it!

And if that wasn't cute enough... Mooshu got his first bath last week, and his mommy took some soggy puppy pictures for us all to awww at!

Man Rescues Daring Baby Duckies (a must see!)

All news should be like this! No more bad news -- just all brave baby ducky rescues all day.

This is officially one of my favorite news stories ever: A man noticed a mommy duck making her nest in his 2nd-story office ledge. She was cute to watch... and then the duckies hatched and couldn't hop down to try and get to the water.

He watched from his office as one of the babies leapt to the ground below (and made it, but only have scaring him by laying motionless for a few seconds). And then he knew what he had to do. He rushed downstairs and caught every single one of those baby ducks as they jumped down to their mommy duck below... All nine of them!

And then he and his coworkers ushered the mommy ducky and her babies safely down the street to the water -- blocks away!

You MUST watch the video of it happening! This is my "I love people" moment of the week. I love this man for helping these duckies!

Here we go again with the extreme close-ups that I love so, so, so very much. You show me an extreme close-up animal video, and 99.9% of the time it lands on Your Daily Cute.

This particular calico kitty makes for a fabulous close-up because of his precious nose spot (and his pink nose)! His name is Yukke, but he's anything but yucky!

There is always a whole bunch of food nuggets all over the floor around the food bowls at my house. And I had a feeling I knew how they got there, but wasn't quite sure -- until today.

Maybe one of my cats (Pimp and Moo) ate messy. Maybe one of them didn't really like the food and that was they're way of telling me. Or maybe...
