Happy Halloween: Pimp & Moo Dress Up!

Happy Halloween, Cuteheads! This is one of my favorite holidays because it gives me an excuse -- like I need one -- to dress up Pimp and Moo. (It's also Moo's BIRTHDAY today! He's the big 2! Great, the terrible twos...)

If you remember before, we had a vote to see what Pimp should be this year. You all decided he should be a pirate, but we had a small issue -- it was sold out in his size. Yikes!

So we had to go with Plan B, which I actually think worked out better... because now they got matching costumes! For the same price as the one would have cost me for Pimp, I got both Pimp and Moo new outfits! Check 'em out.

Happy National Cat Day! (a.k.a. Friends of Cute Day)

Happy National Cat Day, everyone! We've got a whole lot of celebrating going on...

Second, yesterday I had this brainstorm to celebrate National Cat Day by posting up a whole bunch of pictures of the Cat Friends of Cute. I started asking around Twitter and Facebook, and got a huge response. Boy, does Cute have a lot of cat friends! (And we love each and every one of you!)

Personally, I don't think it would be a party without my cats, Pimp and Moo, so here are my absolute favorite pictures of each of them.

Ladder Kitty Ain't Afraid of No Heights!

I could be wrong, but has anyone ever heard of a kitty actually doing something the hard way? I always thought cats looked for the easy way out, being lazy and, say, waiting for their human to do it for them.

This kitty defies the Kitty Law of Laziness. 1) He uses the ladder instead of stairs (there must be stairs to get up, right?) and 2.) He gets down a totally different way (still not the stairs).

I lost my copy of the Kitty Constitution, but I'm sure this kitty is breaking more than a few rules... ;)

High-Flying Fun with Da Bird!

I'm sure many of you cool cats have heard of Da Bird... it's one of the most fun kitty toys out there! Moo LOVES his (although I'm pretty sure it's because it's on a string, and he loves anything on a string).

Some kitties simply swat at Da Bird, but Asia from Pet Meadow... Asia has her bird batting technique down. The secret is flying higher than it apparently. Watch and learn.

Two Cats Tuesday: Moo's New Spot!

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads!

This has been an exciting week over here because Moo got a new spot. No, not another cow spot, you sillies, he got a new favorite hang-out spot!

You see, since I know how much Moo loves boxes, I knew he'd love this -- his very own Kitty Cube! (I also knew he wouldn't care that in it was pink and yellow and kinda girly looking...)

Of course, I really got it for both Pimp and Moo, but I know Pimp, and I knew he'd have nothing to do with with it -- it was bought, and he only likes things that are sitting next to whatever I spent a lot of money on. ;)

Moo made himself right at home. Hopefully these wrinkles come out after it sits for a while...

This is the pretty pink side (I like pink, and it's in my house, so pink it is! Hmph.) Doesn't he look like he's piloting the thing?

Just look at Moo's little face. Every time I look at him I melt.

Cuteheads, you all have no idea how much Moo love his new cube. Once I put it out, he got RIGHT in and stayed there for over an hour! And since then, he's been in it more than he's been anywhere else around here.

So now I have this loud pink thing in the middle of my living room... The things we do for our kitties, huh?

Pablo wants his bone, but it seems that his big brother -- and I do mean BIG brother -- is holding it hostage. Is Pablo the little cow-chihuahua brave enough to try and get his bone from his Doberman buddy?

It's the ultimate furball showdown! In one corner, we have Gabby the cat. She's one year old, and has home-cat advantage. In the other corner... Squeakers, the new guy. He doesn't know how small he is.

Two Cats Tuesday: It's Treat Time!

Yay! It's Two Cats Tuesday again! This is my favorite day of the week on the Cute. :)

Today you get to see Pimp and Moo in action -- eating treats! I don't know about you all, but my two babies love their treats, specifically Greenies. But they're very particular about how I "serve" them.

You see, before Moo came along, I'd just pile a few on the floor and Pimp would chow down happily, purring all the way through. But now, with Moo the Menace around, I have to feed them right to their little mouths, one at a time, to make sure that they each get their fair share (otherwise Moo will bogart the whole pile and Pimp -- poor thing -- will just give up and resign himself to not getting any).

Anyway, this "one at a time" passing out of treats lends itself to some extreme cuteness. Moo knows when it's his turn (or when he thinks it should be his turn again), and makes his move...
