Bambi and Thumper Really Do Exist!

I got these beautiful pictures in an email and wanted to share...

This is a awww-inspiring story of how a deer and a wild rabbit came to love each other and be best friends. You see, the fawn was rescued after its mother was hit by a car and killed. The rescuers brought him to be bottle-fed and cared for until it became big and strong.

The deer was lonely without other deer around to play with, until a wild rabbit showed up one day. The two stayed at a safe distance for a while at first, but then became comfortable with each other and eventually grew such a tight bond that they were rarely seen apart.

Here are the pictures from the email. They're taken by a woman named Tanja Askani, and her Web site is where I got the story to go with the pictures.

They're beautiful, and I love nature for providing such perfect and sweet stories...

We all know they're rigged. The cute little pink elephant you want is stuffed just so, making it so that no matter how many quarters or tokens you feed the thing, that crane will always almost pick it up. And then you feel like you have to stuff another quarter in because, hey, you were this close and surely you'll get it the next time!

Aw, what a cute little bunch of puppies. So sleepy. So sweet. So... WATCH OUT, KITTY!

I love the music they used for this. It would be good on its own, but the music makes it even better. Absolutely perfect.

And here I was choosing by which sponge was the prettiest color... Who knew?

Cute Dog Popping Balloons

Simon is a clown's worst nightmare -- he's as fierce a balloon-popper as they come! In fact, he can kill 74 evil balloons in less than a minute.

The cute part is that he's clearly been trained to do this. It's a special skill, no doubt, that his owners cultivate regularly by setting up "palates" of balloons and cheer him on as he unleashes a fury on them.

Silly Fun: Build a Squid!

Got a few minutes to waste? Build a squid!

I'm not exactly sure what the point of this thing is, but it's a delightful find. To make your squid, you get to pick everything from its body shape and color to its eyeball googliness. Then you give him a nice squishy squid name (I named mine Squishy in a feverish bout of unoriginality) and set him free!

Then you can come back whenever to check up on your squid and see what he's been up to. It's cute, in a who-thinks-of-these-things kind of way.

Bailey the Reindeer?

Bailey should have been a reindeer, the way he frolics through the snow like this! I bet if Santa saw this video, he's want him to help pull his sleigh.

The snow is piled higher than he is tall, but he's just bouncing and prancing like the happiest Dalmatian there ever was. Which is all the more cute to me, because I've never seen snow...

Cats Chasing Tails

If I had a tail, I think I'd chase it around all day, too. I mean, think about it... it's a toy, permanently attached to you! Your parents can't take it away to punish you, you'll never lose it, you don't have to take turns playing with it with your sister or friends -- it's the perfect toy!

Cute "Pet" Spotlight: Moo the Kitty

Here's Moo. He's udder-ly fabulous. He showed up on my front porch a couple days ago, and hasn't left since.

He hangs out on my back porch now (that's where I'm feeding him since it's safer away from the street). I put a towel on my Adirondack chair and he's made himself right at home back there...

Moo really is the cutest, most friendly thing. Check out his little spotted sweetness in the video down there.

Meet Chichi and Maxie, two princess poodles from Tampa, Fla. These two supermodels are decked out in their Christmas best -- the latest in faux fur fabulousness.

This is their Christmas portrait, taken atop of two giant gift boxes in Hyde Park. I'm sure Santa will bring these tiny pooches lots of yummy treats and fun toys!

Baby's First Bananas

This is my friends Carolina and Ryan's little cutie, Kai... and this is his first time eating bananas. It looks like he can't really decide whether he likes them -- so many cute faces!

Doggie Paddle

Not sure if he's just being cute or if he just too little to walk yet, but it doesn't really matter -- this little puppy doggie paddles better than Michael Phelps probably ever did! And look how his little tail stands up. Aww.

New Shiba Inu Puppies!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who loved checking in on the first set of famous shiba inu puppies, so you'll all be happy to learn there's another set of shibu sweeties to watch!

Cute Pet Spotlight: Santa's Little Elf

Today's cute pet spotlight is Tuscany, the fabulous Christmas Elf!

Festive little Tuscany (well, I use the term little loosely) actually had an entire Christmas fashion show when this picture was taken, also trying on Santa hat and a pair of reindeer antlers... lucky her! Just look how happy she is with the whole situation...

Tuscany is very loyal to one special toy: Mousey the little mouse. Every night, she takes Mousey to bed with her, and every morning, Mousey ends up in her food or water bowl (apparently he gets hungry, too). Mousey has a few hiding places, but Tuscany's mom and dad are very good at finding him each night before bed -- and the whole cycle starts again.

I love that the crow is named "Moses" (even I don't name crows... and I name and feed everything). I love the cute little old couple telling the story. I love the kitten.

I love these stories: cat adopts bunny, dog adopts duck, crow adopts kitten... Anyway, this one is especially cute because the help this mommy tiger adopt the piglets, they dressed the little oinkers up tiger-style!

Christmas Lolcats!

It's December and, as usual, I'm feeling a little festive. Last year, I dressed Pimp up in his Christmas Elf costume (he has an outfit for every holiday), and his picture somehow made its way into someone's Youtube lolcats Christmas compilation!

I remember seeing it last year (and being so proud of my little guy), and so I dug it up again this year to share. Enjoy!
