Planet of the Cats

First off, let me just say that this is not a crazy cat lady. She's awesome and just crazy about cats.

This woman started a no-kill cat santuary -- Cat House on the Kings -- 16 years ago, four hours north of LA. She lives on 6 acres and the cats (and dogs) have free roam of the place. They can come in the house or stay outside, climb the trees or just hang around. It's one of the nicest things I've ever seen.

Since she started, she's saved 16,000 cats and dogs. Awesome. Honestly, I shed a little tear here and went right to the site to donate a little sumthin.

I Don't Speak Pineapple

This is one of those random commercials that is so strange it's brilliant. It's a candy commercial for some kind of candies that are all natural. Which is odd, because I don't think it's very natural for candy to be talking.

But anyway, does anyone out there speak pineapple?

Cute Little Loris Dude

I had no idea what a Loris was until I saw this video, so I guess I learned something today. I learned that I want a Loris.

Apparently a Loris a slow-moving primate native to Southeast Asia. And they're tiny! You'll love you some Loris...

Cat with Wings?

These little angels started sprouting "wings" during a really hot period of time in China. They first started out as little bumps on their backs, but just keep growing -- and eventually turned into these wing-like things.

They don't hurt them and the doctors say there's nothing wrong with it. It is a little strange, but I guess if you think about it in a cute way, it is a little precious...

Thanks to Lenisse for passing this on! Get the cat with wings story here.

It's All About the Pink Noses

I'd like to introduce you to two members of The Daily Cute family.

On the left, Pimp, my perfect son -- he's fat, friendly and The Man. On the right, Pumpkin, my coworker's orange obsession (people threaten to un-friend her on Flickr because she takes posts many pictures of him).

I was going through said Flickr photos when I noticed that Pumpkin took almost the same exact picture that Pimp took a while ago! It was too cute of a coincidence, so I had to share...

(Personally, I think Pimp's is cuter, but maybe I'm a little biased... Look for more Pimp posts to come!)

Real Life Tweety and Sylvester

This little birdie apparently has no idea that cats EAT birds. But then, on the other hand, the cat seems to have no idea that cats eat birds either.

They're both just hanging out on the windowsill like nothing -- the Tweetster cleaning his furry friend and the cat simply annoyed and ignoring the poor thing. As long as all that tail picking doesn't make him snap...

Two Talking Cats

These cute kitties carry on a whole conversation here. No clue what they're discussing, but I wish I could join in!

Kitty #1: Tuna or chicken?
Kitty #2: I don't know. Depends on my mood.
Kitty #1: I'm in the mood for food.
Kitty #2: Giiiirrrrl, I heard that. I'm always up for some food.
Kitty #1: Actually, I could go for a lizard right now...

NEW UPDATE! Someone posted a translated version!

Total and Complete Defeat

Not even a meow... This cute little soggy kitty endures bath time like a champ. Most cats I know have clawed their way for the hills about 3 seconds in.

Plus, it's always a good time looking at watered-down puffy cats...

I Can Haz Prezidency?

The "Two Cats on a Treadmill" video is old, but here's a new twist. Two cats on a treadmill... running for presidency.

It's Hillary vs. Barack in a battle of feline purrportions.

Look What Followed Me Home...

Apparently this happened somewhere around the Bittinger, MD area: A fawn followed this little beagle home -- right through the doggie door -- and made himself at home. The owner came home to see the two new friends curled up next to each other on her couch.

I wish I could come home to Bambi sleeping on my couch one day. All of my cat's houseguests are half-dead lizards and icky frogs.

Special thanks to Vanessa for sending me this cuteness!

An Engineer's Guide to Cats

From the video's description: Two professional engineers illustrate the proper care and practical benefits of cats. None of the cats, humans, or engineers were mistreated in the making of this film. They were however, slightly annoyed.

I think this is an incredibly informative presentation. If you have a cat, or are thinking about adopting a cat, I'm sure you'll enjoy it...

Blood!

This poor kid is trying desperately to tell his dad something. He says it over and over. He points. He screams. He jumps. And all he gets is a good laugh (which is fully understandable considering the way he says blood).

Hopefully the baby isn't bleeding to death while this kid is trying to get his point across...

The Evil Eye

Baby doing the evil eye... I don't even think The Rock ever had it down this good.

Charlie Bit My Finger Again

Ooh, that's a cute baby. Ooh, that's a cute baby and it's cute when he nibbles. Ooh... wait... AHHH! Charlie bit his finger. Again.

Brothers from Another Mother

Someone sent me an email with all these pictures attached. It was like one aww after another. My personal favorite is the black and white bunny and kitty. All together now: Awwwwww...

Goat Calls for Mom

This one is so cute, it's almost sad. Billie (I assume that's his name since he's a goat) calls for his mom -- in English.

He has perfect English, so what's so sad? Well, I'm hoping he's a pet, but I can't help but worry that he might be a future-food...

Easily the CUTEST. KITTEN. EVER.

...and that is a term I don't use lightly.

Meet Mumu (well, that's not really his name, but that's what my friends and I call him). He's a little Scottish Fold (that's the ears) Munchkin (that's the squat little legs) kitten who I would eat whole if I ever saw him in real life.

DISCLAIMER: Seriously, you will fall madly in love with this kitten. You'll watch it over and over and send to your friends. And then watch it again. The bar has been raised, kittehs -- I dare you to try and be this cute!

Dog Sings Sex and the City

This is my friend's dog, Bubba, with his backup singer, Alfie. Every time Sex and the City comes on, he stops everything he's doing, to belt out a few bars (barks?).

Not to be outdone, his trusty chihuahua sidekick always feels the need to chime in, too. It's the "Anything you can do, I can do better" syndrome she says. And what you end up with is a charming little doggie duet.

Take it away, boys...
