Matsuko the cat is so sleepy, but his daddy keeps trying to have a conversation with him. I think maybe he's sleep-talking... and dreaming that he's a dog?

Whatever it is, they are having the cutest conversation about some serious stuff. One of the comments said the dad was asking him if he was sleepy. No wonder cats think humans are silly! Of course he's sleepy!

Baby Otter Squeaks When Introduced to Water

I guess we all probably squeak a little when we first dip into a pool or put our toes in the water to check the temperature of a bath or shower. Otters are just the same, it seems!

After being abandoned by her mother off the coast of California, Otter 501 (that's what they called her) was rescued and brought to Monterey Bay Aquarium to grow up big and strong and be released back into the wild. Here in this video, she gets a little snack of milk and then gets to go for the cutest little happy swim!

Happy 14th Birthday to Pimp!

Today is Pimp's 14th birthday! Hurray! Of course we had to celebrate in the best way we know how... With a super silly photo session!

We practically had a party of here taking these pictures. There was candles and cupcakes and cat food "cake" and masks and all the fixin's for a festive cat pawty!

First, Pimp got in the party mood by putting on his festive glasses.

Then he got a cake with candles! (This is just his hyperthyroid y/d food, but don't tell him!)

Of course I had to take a birthday picture with my son!

Not to be outdone, Moo also put on some festive party glasses.

They boys even posed together with Pimp's cake! 

And then we all took a family shot! (That's my boyfriend.)

Overall it was a super fun party! After, Pimpy got to eat his cake, and Moo tried to sneak some of it too, even though he has his own food. We're going to keep celebrating all day today!

Have a happy and safe 4th of July, everyone! Remember to keep your pets inside where it's safe and quieter.

And here's to another 14 years (at least, right?!) with Pimp!

Two Cats Tuesday: Pimp and Moo's New Bow Ties!

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! Pimp and Moo got some spiffy new bow ties this week, and they are both feeling like really dapper dudes.

You may notice that in all their pictures they are wearing bow ties. The boys are fancy, you know. Just plain collars won't do.

And the boys are extra lucky... Sweet Pickles Designs just came out with their new Summer Collection, and the boys are some of the first kitties to sport them!

Oh hai! My polka dot bow tie is "The Social Butterfly" design. The name matches me!

Does this bow tie make my nose look big?

Mine is "The Negotiator" bow tie. I do NOT negotiate with Moo about my food.

Fat Cat Struggles to Fit in Tiny Box

No box is too small for a cat. Some of them just require a little extra effort, that's all. Especially if you're a bit on the chunky side.

Couple times she thinks she has it (right around :30 is a perfect example!), and gracefully and slowly starts to lower her fuzzy butt down, only to realize that's not quite right. Maybe making a little more space by kicking a paw out? Nah, that's not it either. Persistence pays off though!
