Buttermilk the baby goat is one of those kids that you can't take your eyes off of for one second. His idea of playing is bouncing around and knocking everybody over and just laughing about it!

He's not going to make many friends this way...

The Rescue: Firefighter Saves Kitten and Brings Him Back to Life

Lucky was found alone and not moving or breathing in a home after a fire. A firefighter saw him lying lifeless on the floor, quickly scooped him up and took him outside to try to save him. He got an oxygen tank and some bottles of water, and carefully and kindly -- and miraculously! -- brought the little baby back to life.

It's such a beautiful, touching video. Every little life is worth the effort, worth saving. Hurray for fabulous firefighters!


NOTE FROM CUTE: I did read in an update that Lucky sadly ended up going to Bridge later that night, but I still think he was lucky. He was surrounded by love and shown what true compassion was, instead of being left in the house alone. So glad this firefighter found him!

Kitten Sneezes and Scares the Bejesus Out of Everyone

For such a tiny kitten, this sure is a big sneeze!

I saw her wind up, so I'm not sure why everyone was so startled by her little explosion, but her face after she sneezed is just priceless. She just doesn't understand what she did to deserve all that reaction.


P.S. I used "bejesus" in a blog post! How funny! Not sure why, but that word cracks me up. That and "shenanigans"...

Cat Patty-Cake Tango

Two cats do a little tango dance while stopping to play patty cake a few times along the way.

It's all very graceful and choreographed, I think. These kitties have some very fancy paw-work!

Two Cats Tuesday: Pimp and Moo at the Vet!

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! This week Pimp and Moo went to the vet, and they wanted to tell you that they both did a great job!

Pimp has hyperthyroid, you know, so he has to go and get his tests often. We also weigh him because the poor boy is thin and frail. He's my little bag of bones, that sweet thing.

Pimp weighed in at 8.4 pounds. He lost a little weight from the last visit, but the vet wasn't concerned. It's hard to believe this cat was once 23 pounds (and very overweight)!

This is us at the vet. It's the only time they'll get this close to each other and share my lap.

Moo on the other hand has the total opposite issue. He needs to go on a diet. That cow cat weighed in at 12.3 pounds... and he is not a big-sized cat. He gained a whole pound since his last visit. Oh my cat!

So he's officially on a diet, for real. He's been on a diet, but only kind of jokingly, but we really need to crack down now. A pound of two would make a big difference for him.

And that's the report! Other than that, they are perfect and wonderful boys. And happy to be back home, of course.

Baby Monkey vs. Kitten

Did you know baby monkeys play just like kittens? The run around and wrestle and all -- and this one gets to do it with his kitten friend!

Darwin the monkey was rejected by his mom, so he was being cared for at The Nile River Camp, in Bujagali, Uganda. They have a kitten there named Alley-Cat, and the two became fast friends!

You know the trick where you say "Bang!" and the doggie plays dead? Well, Bailey is the most dramatic, over-reactive, well-acted husky I've ever seen!

He doesn't just lie down, oh no. He makes it the most dramatic doggie death scene ever! Well done, Bailey!
