It's Transport Weekend! We're Saving Cats by the Carload! #15catcaravan

Hurray! It's another transport day! This weekend we have such a diverse and special bunch of cats we're helping get to homes and rescues... From cats from a hoarder situation to our favorite cat Lestat's sister to bunches of kittens and more!

First up, we have two sets of kittens that were still a little sick the last time we transported cats up to Maine, so they stayed behind for a few extra weeks to get healthy (only healthy kitties on the road!). They are the Spice Pack and the Potters.

The Spice Pack are Pepper, Cayenne, Chili and Cinnamon. They also have a mom named Sage, but she found a wonderful home down here already!

The Potters are Ron Weasley, Ginny, Hermoine and Harry Potter. Harry Potter is apparently the most ridiculous lovebug ever, according to his foster moms (they had two foster homes!).

Then we have a very special VIP in our transport. I didn't tell you guys this before, but guess what? We have Lestat's sister! Remember how there were originally four in that family that were surrendered together, and one got adopted straight from the shelter before we rescued the rest? Her name is Bella. We had no idea how she was doing or if she was well or anything... and then I got a message a few weeks ago that she'd been returned to the shelter.

Returned? How does one return a cat this gorgeous?

But she was back, and we knew immediately we had to get her out of there ASAP and find her a real forever home. One that we would always know how she is doing and who would keep her forever and ever and give her the love she deserves. This family is very special to us all.

And so we found her a great home! She is going to Cutehead Danielle B.'s mom (who adopted Hagrid earlier!).

Next up are a few of the kitties we saved from a hoarder situation in Tampa. Adele, Aurora and Amelia are going up to HART of Maine (one of our favorite rescue partners!). They are also getting the Potters and the Spice Pack. A great group and we're so thankful to them for helping us save all these kitties!

Then comes Luigi. Luigi has a little bit of a story behind him. He was lost a couple months ago during a transport (NOT one of ours!), and many dedicated people worked and searched and didn't give up. A couple weeks ago, he was found! And now we get to escort him home for real this time. Believe me, we're duct-taping his carrier shut! We're so happy he finally gets to go home (and that he was found!).

We also have Buddy coming along. Buddy is 24 pounds of cat awesomeness. He is FIV+ and was rescued by one of our Cutehead drivers a little while ago. She wasn't able to keep him, so she reached out for help in finding him a place to go and Rikki's Refuge is going to give him a wonderful place to live! So he is hopping onboard on Cutehead Shirley G.'s leg (she rescued him!) and coming along for part of the ride!

And last but not least, we have Suki. Suki was surrendered by her owner to animal control and was getting very depressed. She was rescued and now she's going home!

Cat Answers Phone

Luna has a very important job in the house. She is in charge of answering the phone when telemarketers call.

Because who better to field those call than the cat, right?

Treadmill Cushion Kitten!

Round and round that cushion goes... Where it stops, only the kitten knows!

Who needs a treadmill when you can just use a good cushion and rotate it round and round? Exercise and fun!


P.S. Guess what? We busted out four gorgeous kittens from animal control yesterday! My parents are going to foster them for a couple weeks, and we're going to send them and a few other kitties up to Forever Home Feline Ranch in Illinois soon! Who's up for another transport?

Baby Goat Hops and Plays on Giant Pig

Two of my favorite animals (besides cats, of course!) are goats and sloths. Bonus points if either one of them is a baby.

Extra bonus points if there is a baby goat hopping around on a giant pig who couldn't possibly care less that the little goat is having the absolute time of his life! Hop on, little goatie!

Two Cats Tuesday: Pimp's Brown Belly and Moo's Workout Plans

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! Today we get to see Pimp's brown belly (although he would rather us not!) and Moo has decided that he is going to work out.

Pimp is not a brown tabby, really... except his belly. When he was fat, this belly was huge! And it was brown and it kind of lied next to him when he would lie on the couch. Now it's still brown and it still lies next time, but not as much. It's kind of just an accent color!

My belly is my buddy. It lies with me. 

You guys aren't talking bad about my belly are you?!

Sigh. I can't help that it's brown. 

Moo on the other hand, I guess he's decided he's going to do something about his belly because his new favorite spot is in my boyfriend's gym bag.

I'm practically a 15-lb weight. Just lift me!

Kitten Sounds Like a Goat

Pickles the kitten chatters at birds like any cat does, but she does it a little bit differently. She sounds like a goat while doing it!

I think she's a fine goat impressionist! If I had my eyes closed, I'd for sure think she was actually a maaaaaa-ing goat.

STOP EVERYTHING! Sloth and Cat Are Best Friends

Fair warning: There is a sloth in this video and he is loving on a cat. Your head might explode from the cute.

There, now that we have the disclaimer out of the way, let's get down to business: Prince the sloth loves Daisy, his best kitty friend. Prince loves to give Daisy chin skrithces and ear scratches and hug her and love her. Daisy isn't exactly sure how she feels about it, but it feels pretty good, so it seems like she's going with it.

Also, there is a cute sloth AND a cute cat together in this video. Just had to say that again. It's almost too much to comprehend, even for me.
