If you just dive face-first into a glass of milk, there's bound to be some milk-mustache repercussions. But if you do it like this kitty instead... well, your furs will be free and clear of any evidence!
When I stumbled on this video, it really touched me. Here's a man who saw a dirty, scraggly cat in a parking lot and took the time to go over and give him some much-deserved love. It's so something I would do.
I can only imagine how happy these few minutes of petting and caring made this sweet kitty. It looks like he was trying to soak up all that he could while he had the chance.
As I watched, I couldn't help but think back to The Meows and how special they were to me. Most people ignore cats like this, but the truth is, they could be the very best cats in the world -- and they deserve a little bit of the good life, too.
It also makes me think of Cute's good friend, BZTAT, who recently rescued Okey, a sweet cat from a parking lot. Okey just got her tests and was spayed yesterday, and now she's recovering safely and snuggly in BZTAT's art studio.
I like to think someone scooped the cat in this video up and gave him a home. I went through almost all the comments, plugging them in one by one into Google Translate, and almost all of them thanked the man for giving this baby some love. No word on a home, though. But that's what I'm going with.
I don't know about you, but I smiled the whole way through watching this. I hope you do, too.
Fall is here and so are cooler temperatures for some of us -- and you know what that means... time for the lakes and ponds to ice over and the kitties to go ice fishing!
What?! An ice-fishing kitty? Sure, it's kind of like ice-skating except on your paws and the fishes are under the ice and, hard as you try and fast as you slide, you can't get them. Mind boggling for the kitty, I'm sure, but lots of fun to watch!
Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! Today I wanted to show you how silly Pimp is with his favorite toys -- and I'm wondering if anyone else's cats do this?
Pimp absolutely loves those cheap little mice that come in all colors in the multi packs. You know, the ones with the fuzzy leather tails. Ever since he was a baby, he loves them more than any other toy in the world.
But... he doesn't really love to play with them so much as he loves to eat them. Yes! Whenever I give him a fresh new one, the first thing he does is devour the tail! Every. Single. Time. I have no idea why, but he's been doing it ever since he was a kitten!
Don't worry, it's just a tiny tail and he chews it pretty good, so no worries about it hurting him. He's a pro at this!
And then, when he's done with the tail (that was quick, wasn't it?!), then he just kind of likes to savor the flavor of his mousie...
For a while, I couldn't find these mice anywhere. I thought they stopped making them! Sure, they had the multi packs of mice, but the tails weren't the same. And, clearly, the tail is the best part.
But every time I was in a pet store or Target or anywhere really, I'd look to see if I saw them. It's literally been YEARS since I found any for poor Pimp -- until last week! You wouldn't believe how excited I was to find them at Pet Supermarket when I made an emergency nom run one night last week. I was so happy that I finally found them!
I brought them home right away and gave him one, and even though it had been years, he went right over to it and devoured the tail. Yay! I think it made my whole week. :)
Disapproving Moo disapproves.
P.S. Santa Paws Drive is kicking off really soon! Right now we're taking nominations for shelters to get the treats and money we'll collect. You have till Nov. 5th to nominate a non-profit shelter. This is our second year (Cute is a co-founder), so I'm excited to make it even better than last year! For more info click on the "Blog" link at the top of this page: http://www.SantaPawsDrive.com
First the big news: Today is a big day... it's Moo's birthday!
Happy Halloween, Cuteheads! Hope all the doggies and kitties get extra treats today!
Since it's Halloween -- and Pimp and Moo already showed you their costumes this year -- I figured we could take a look a bunch of Pimp's costumes from past years!(In case you've been living under a rock and didn't notice, I like to dress him up.)
This definitely isn't all his costumes and outfits, but it's all the ones I could find saved on my computer. I'm pretty sure he was born before digital cameras were big (or before I had one, at least) and several computers ago, so we're missing a little bit of his timeline here, but I'm sure you'll enjoy what I did find!
And, oh my goodness, I'm almost the worst mommy! TODAY IS MOO'S BIRTHDAY! He's the big 3 today! Happy birthday to my favorite cow-cat in the world! :)
