Woodpile Kittens: Happy Stories of Rescued Kittens -- This is How it Should Be!

You may have heard about the woodpile kittens a "humane" officer shot and killed last week. This is NOT about that story. This is the happy stories of two different sets of kittens found in woodpiles, rescued, saved and loved. This is about how it should be.

The first set of woodpile kittens are a group of three rambuntious 4-week-old babies that were found along with their mom in a backyard. The woman who found them, brought the whole family into her home and is caring for them. They had terrible eye ulcers and have seen the vet and a specialist twice.

Joe, the black and white one defending his castle at the top of his scratcher is blind. Stormy (who looks like Grumpy Cat) and Mittens each have one good eye. Nothing stops them though! The most recent video was just posted yesterday, and this one below was just a few weeks ago.


Their momma cat is also very friendly and sweet!


The next woodpile kittens story is about Woody and Batty, two babies that were rescued after being trapped in a woodpile for several days with no food or water. They were brought into Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville, NC, where they were showered with love and vet care -- as it should be! Batty had a badly injured ear and Woody had a dislocated jaw and an injured eye. They are both very lucky to have such great care! (This was back in September 2012. I am not sure of any updates.)


This is what every kitten should have the chance at. A loving foster home and forever home to look forward to, and all the care they deserve. I love the people who helped and are helping the kitties up there!

Alley Cat Allies has a petition going around (and they will be in that town soon for a protest) and the Ohio SPCA is also rallying to have him fired.

Super Crazy Cat Chases His Tail

All it took was a tiny little flick of his tail to set this crazy kitty of into a twirling whirlwind of dizzying acrobatics!

Round and round he goes, but that darn tail just won't be caught. Not for lack of effort, of course.

It's actually quite genius, and I think most of us would find this new version of the iPhone 6 for Cats to be the best update yet (if it was real, of course). I particularly like the built-in laser pointer!

Cat Uses Toilet Paper After Peeing in the Toilet

Viruu the cat is very tidy when it comes to his potty habits! He pees in the toilet, like a proper fellow... and then even uses toilet paper and washes his paws when he is done!

It is a process to use the toilet properly, as you will see. But it is very important to be thorough and meticulous about your cleanliness habits. Viruu gets an A+!

P.S. My dad and a friend rescued a kitten last week! She was dumped in the parking garage at the office building he works at in downtown Fort Lauderdale, FL. He called me in the morning and he told me about it, and I told him right away that he needed to trap the kitty and get her safe!

So I called my friend (and fellow parking lot kitty mom!) Kelly, and asked if she could help. She is a cat-trapping master! By the end of the day, Kelly was safe and sound in my parents' bathroom!

They named her Kelly after Kelly! Now we are looking for a home for her. She is very sweet, and we've had a couple people offer to be her new mom. We just know she will find the best home! I wanted to share pictures of her here, so you could see. Isn't she adorable?

Two Cats Tuesday: We Have a Climber and a Tangler!

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! Today Pimp is king of the mountain and Moo is a tangled mess.

King of the mountain? Of course we don't have a mountain in our house! (Sometimes there is a mountain of laundry that needs to be put away, but that's a different story.) We just got a new mattress and the old one hasn't been taken out yet, so Pimp decided he was going to climb to the way top and perch up there!

I have no idea what's gotten in to him, but he's been acting like such a kitten lately!

I got all the way up here by myself!

I am a happy mountain climber! 

And if that wasn't enough shenanigans, Moo decided he was going to have a crazy time with his not-box and get all tangled up in it!

He was rolling and wrapping himself up in it and everything. And then he fell asleep in it, like normal.

My not-box is lots of fun!

Cutest Upside-Down Sleepy Ginger Kitten Ever!

Tiny sleepy ginger kitten, rolling around on his back, biting his little toes and rocking himself back and forth to sleep -- it's almost too much!

And you know what makes it even sweeter? This cute ginger kitten is one of the babies that Misty had last week! Remember Misty, one of the kitties who we saved from the hoarder and transported up to Forever Home Feline Ranch a few weeks ago? Well, she had her babies... four healthy, adorable ginger nuggets! I love a happy ending!
