Happy Three Cats Thursday, Cuteheads! Whew, it seems like it's been forever since we've done one of these, doesn't it? So let's get to it!

Today Pimp got with the trend and let me take a selfie with him, and Moo and Phantom want to show you how in love with each other they are. They are BFF for real!

We'll get to those lovebirds in a minute, but first, let Pimp take a selfie!

Moooommmmm! I'm not so sure about this selfie stuff...

Don't you just love his face. He takes his pictures so serious. And he's always so expressive!

Psst... Don't tell him I told you, but Pimp is going to be 15 years old next Friday on the 4th of July! Fifteen years young, I mean. :)

Now let's get on to the crazy whippersnappers.

Moo and Phantom love love love each other. I think one of the best things ever for Moo was us deciding to keep Phantom because now he has a play buddy and a friend who likes to be licked and loved, and does the same back. Pimp wants nothing to do with any of that shenanigans.

These two are always sleeping or cuddled close like this. Not curled up in a ball together, but just touching.

We are all tangled up in love!

How to Introduce Two Cats Together (a Cute Play-by-Play!)

Getting a new kitten (and keeping the peace) can sometimes be a pretty big mission -- and every mission should have this cute and happy of an ending!

While I think these people got lucky with how well and how fast Shorty and Kodi got along, they do have some great points, and some super cute video to go with it!


P.S. If any of my three cats slept together like that, I think I'd probably lose it. It would be a miracle. Haha.

Two Cats (and a Phantom) Tuesday: The Squeaky Mousie and Cat Trap Blankie

Happy Two Cats and a Phantom Tuesday, Cuteheads! Today Pimp and Moo are "trapped" on the couch... and Phantom is making it so no one is ever going to get any sleep around here.

Have you all ever tried to trap your kitties somewhere? I bet you have!

Pimp and Moo love to sleep on the couch (and of course they are totally allowed), but I am just not a big fan of having to vacuum it every day just so I can sit on it. And so I designed this handy, never-fail cat trap.

Snug as to cats on a trap.

It's called a blanket.

I'm sure you've used this tactic before. Boxes also work very well for the same purpose. You put a box or a blanket down, and the cat will appear on it within minutes. Tada! It's like it was a trap. :)

Zzzzzzz...

And now here's the silly boy... Phantom loves to play! He is a crazy nut! He just had endless energy, and so I try to get stuff to keep him busy.

When I saw this squeaky mouse at the story, I just knew he'd love it. And so I bought it for him -- and now all I hear is squeak squeak squeak all the time.

But how could I care about that? Just look how happy it makes him!

Today is Moo's Gotcha Day!

Happy Gotcha Day, Moo! On January 13, 2009 our world was changed forever, because Moo officially became a part of our family!

After showing up on my back porch and camping out for a couple weeks, Moo managed to convince the stubborn lady that he picked to be his new mom (Me? Stubborn about admitting a cat is part of the family?! I have no idea why anyone would think that! Hehe.) that he was ours and we were his.

Moo started out as a scrawny, dirty cat outside begging for attention, and now he's a fat, shiny inside cat... still begging for attention!

Moo now. He's, um, "filled out" quite a bit and he cleans up pretty well!

Talkative Loud Baby Rescued Kitten!

Mew was found on the streets by his owners just a few days before this video, and he's already making all of his demands known! Didn't take very long for him to show everyone who was in charge there, huh?

He's skinny in this video, but check out the second video below to see how much Mew plumped up after finding such a good home!

Kodi the cat loves to get all acrobatic when he plays with his toys. The simple swat and bat is just not enough fun for him... He likes to climb the walls and fly and flip!

Because everyone knows the toy has no idea the kitty's coming if he's upside down. Kind of a sneak attack.

Elevator Butt

If you have cats, you know what "elevator butt" is! You scratch right above their tail and instantly the go up on their back tippy toes and their butt goes as high as felinely possible.

Elevator butt. This first kitty demonstrates it perfectly. (And my favorite is the slow-mo white and orange one who isn't getting brushed. I think his name is Shiro.)

Two Cats Share Food... One Piece at a Time

When sharing a meal, it is very important not to scarf down your half too quickly or try to eat more than your half by eating quicker than your friend. These two kitties are the epitome of polite plate-sharers!

They eat just one bite at a time, just a single morsel. And neither one hogs the bowl... they make sure they each have plenty of space to pick out just the right next bite. Such manners!

Two Cats Tuesday: We Have a Climber and a Tangler!

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! Today Pimp is king of the mountain and Moo is a tangled mess.

King of the mountain? Of course we don't have a mountain in our house! (Sometimes there is a mountain of laundry that needs to be put away, but that's a different story.) We just got a new mattress and the old one hasn't been taken out yet, so Pimp decided he was going to climb to the way top and perch up there!

I have no idea what's gotten in to him, but he's been acting like such a kitten lately!

I got all the way up here by myself!

I am a happy mountain climber! 

And if that wasn't enough shenanigans, Moo decided he was going to have a crazy time with his not-box and get all tangled up in it!

He was rolling and wrapping himself up in it and everything. And then he fell asleep in it, like normal.

My not-box is lots of fun!

Transport Saturday: 9 Ninja Kittens and Crew Heading Up North! #ninjacattransport

Yeah! It's another transport day! This time we have 11 black kittens, a black cat, a cow cat and a tuxie... all heading from Florida to the Northeast!

These cats were all saved from animal control and we're so excited that they have places to go and be safe! Some of the sweetest, cutest, most adorable cats ever are on board for this ride!

5 of the ninjas!

These ninjas were all saved from animal control. There was a cage of nine black kittens, and it wasn't looking good. But then a miracle happened and our friend Danielle G., who works with a rescue near Boston, said they could take them ALL! And so off they go!

Ruby.

Max.

Ruby and Max were part of a litter of five stray kittens that were found near the Cocoa, FL area. They were the only two that made it -- and so they deserve the best forever lives! They are off to Stray Pets in Need in Massachusetts! They will be in foster with a friend of Cute, Therese C.'s cousin! We have the best network here!

Cookie!

Cookie came from Tampa, and she is a petite little girl. She is off to New Hampshire where here new forever mom, Patty P., is anxiously awaiting her arrival!

Tinky!

Tinky was saved at the last minute from Miami Dade Animal Services. She had a horrible URI, and our fellow Cutehead and rescue friend, Maribel M., even slept by her side for two nights. She didn't think she was going to make it... but she did! And she is gorgeous and on her way to her forever home near Boston with a new brother, Cherokee, who is also on the transport! He is all black.

Isn't this the most beautiful bunch? It just occurred to me that there is only black and white in this car! How fun is that?

Huge thanks to all the Cuteheads drivers and the sleepover hosts and the fosters and rescues here in Florida and up north -- and especially the adopters!

How Cute Can a Cow Cat Be?

I don't know about you all, but I could sit and watch cats just doing what cats do for hours. They are the most peaceful, wonderful creatures (except maybe when they have the zoomies, of course!).

So it's no surprise that I this video caught my eye. Besides the fact that I love cow kitties, this one is especially cute! This video is just a bunch of pieces in time in Pancake the cat's life -- nothing special, just a cat being a cat.

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! I had no idea what to post for today, so I pointed the camera at Moo and asked him to do something cute.

This is what he did.

I invented cute. 

He's cute and all, but I don't know... I think he does cuter things when he's not even trying!

P.S. My sister adopted a doggie this weekend! I am getting a bunch of pictures of him to share with you all. He's is so adorable!

Cats Have Chores to Do, Too!

If you think cats do nothing but laze around all day and sleep, play and eat, you're very wrong. They actually have some important chores to do around the house!

For instance, Harley (Daisy the Curly Cat's brother) is in charge of cleaning the kitchen counter and a few other things. Daisy keeps him in line and on top of his chores, and I'm sure his mom appreciates how helpful he is!


NOTE FROM CUTE: We're supposed to be getting some tropical storm winds from Isaac down here today. It is forecast to be a category 1 hurricane in the Keys south of us, but we're supposed to still get some wind here on the east coast. (I'm in Deerfield Beach.) We've got all our stuff in from the balcony and are just hoping the power doesn't go out!

Watch This Bottle-Fed Kitten Grow Up

Watch as this tiny kitten grows from not even a handful of fuzz, to a strong, playful, wide-eyed cow-kitty over the course of two months.

As a baby, this little one had heart problems (at least that's what I gather from reading the comments), but the person caring for him loved him, fed him, cared so wonderfully for him -- and now it seems he's better.

The video is 4:30 long, but when it was over, I couldn't believe I'd been watching that long! Just mesmerizing watching this baby grow. Keep an eye out for the frizzy fuzz at 2:05... squee!

Slow Motion Video of a Cat and Feather Wand Toy

What's cuter than watching cats play? Watching cats play in slow motion!

It's amazing to watch their mouths and heads move and see exactly what they do when they play. Usually they're moving so fast, you can't really appreciate the beautifulness of it!

Here Mari the cat is fiercely protecting his feather wand toy. He bites it and grabs it -- but is never too busy playing to thwack away another kitty who wants a piece of the action!

Cow-Cat Momma and Her Cow Kittens Need an Angel!

It's not very often that I use the Cute to beg... but every once and a while, a group of kittens or a special cat just gets to me. This is one of those times.

There is a litter of cow-kittens and their cow momma at a kill shelter in Georgia. They are not safe and are in dire need of rescue. I just heard that some more mommas came in today, so that means this group is getting closer to not making it out. :(

A rescue needs to pull them, but what we really need is a foster for them to go to. If you can take them -- and you are ANYWHERE -- let me know and we'll see what we can do and if there's any way to get them out alive and to you. They don't have long!

Just look at these faces... Below is the post directly from the shelter. I am not sure how much time they have left, so if you can help them, please speak up ASAP! And even if you can't, please share this post.

"Can you get over these little Cow pies? Look at the one under her arm......she adores her babies and snuggles them up close to her. She has 4 little cow spotted kits, and she is a young thing herself. This girl is VERY sweet and loving.

UPDATE Sun, 5/22: As of yesterday, this family is still alive in the kill shelter. Am working with a couple people to see if we can get them out (hopefully) tomorrow and get them somewhere safe. No definite news yet. I'm not even sure if they're still there since no one asked today. If they are there, it's getting too close to comfort! I wish I was local and could go scoop them up myself. Keeping paws crossed still!

UPDATE Fri, 6/3: Best of my knowledge these babies are still alive. They were 2 days ago anyway. I have rescues that can pull them, people who will help fund raise, but no final destination for them to go to. :( What we need is a foster in Georgia or a miracle! Please keep sharing.

UPDATE Mon, 6/6: THE COW FAMILY IS SAFE! Yay! Oh, this is the best news. The Humane Society of Forsyth County nearby them came through at the last-minute and offered them a spot!
