Burmese Cats Guard Newborn Baby
Erin is just a little baby, but she already has two friends for life in her furry sisters. They cuddle up right next to her and make sure she's comfortable and warm and snuggled in so she doesn't accidentally roll of the couch.
Looks like she's got two good babysitters!

Tiny Kitty vs. Big Cat Stare Down
The age-old question "Does size matter?" can finally be put to put to rest after watching this video. I hate to spoil the ending, but the answer is no.
It's not about the size of the kitty, it's about the seriousness of the stare.
Either that or Bella (the little black kitten) was just so cute that it hurt to look at her and Meesha (the big cat) had to turn away. I get it. I've seen kittens that cute.

Hug Your Cat Day: How Moo Climbs Up for a Hug Every Morning
Today is Hug Your Cat Day! So I decided to share what Moo does every single morning... he hugs me!
Actually, he demands to be held (and hugged and snuggled and loved), and if I ignore him, he just does all the work himself and climbs aboard on his own.
Watch in the mirror (it's easier to see) and pay attention to his little legs lifting as he forces himself into a cuddle! Silly Moo. Have I ever mentioned how much I love this boy?
Please give all your kitties extra hugs today from me!

Two Cats Tuesday: Pimp's Latest Bed Rotation and Moo's Mug
Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! This past week Pimp did what Pimp does best -- he switched beds because he knew I was thinking about getting rid of the other one.
We have five cat beds in this house, plus my bed, plus the couch, plus the papasan chair. Pimp uses every single one of them, which is a little bit ridiculous because this is only a one-bedroom apartment and we don't have room for all these accessories. And yet, I keep them all.
Why? Because he rotates them like the sneaky genius that he is. He'll pick a favorite and abandon all the others, and I'll start thinking about getting rid of one or two of them. And then, no sooner than I have the thought, I come home and see him on exactly the one I was thinking about getting rid of (that he hasn't used for months, mind you), looking as comfortable as could be.
Every. Single. Time.
I'd like to buy him some new stuff, but I'm just afraid it means we'll have six or seven beds -- because that's how we got to five in the first place. Because I can't get rid of old ones.
Now for Moo's mug. Did you think I had a coffee mug made? I have thought about it! But, no, not for this post. Moo's mug is him mugging for the camera.
Have you ever seen a cuter mug? That was him relaxing on my chest while we were lying on the couch. I can't relax without him on me or near me.
And guess what?! One more kitty today for Two Cats Tuesday. It's Three Cats Tuesday!
This is a kitty I saw last week at my new office's parking lot. It seems like such a great place for cats -- kind of quiet, off the main road, lots of trees and a wooded area... I just knew there had to be cats there! But I hadn't seen any until then. I haven't seen him since either, but I'm sure he must have friends.
Next time I see him, I'll check to see if he's ear-tipped. He was pretty skittish and took off as soon as I started toward him.

Happy Memorial Day: Salute to Military Working Dogs
To all our veterans, both human and canine: Thank you.
This video is a touching tribute to all the military working dogs past, present and future. These dogs were brave, loyal and tough and saved countless lives.
(I saw it shared on the Retired Military War Dogs Facebook page. Head on over and give them a Like!)
And here's a video of a military working dogs documentary that aired a couple years ago on the Military Channel. I can't find it in any listings, so I guess they aren't re-running it. Too bad. I'd love to see it.

Sleepy Sunday: It's a Puppy Snoozefest
Sundays were made for relaxing, and these dogs are getting right in the snooze spirit. Eye lids are getting heavy, heads are getting wobbly... time for a nap.
