There's a Cat in the Phone!
Toby's mom has a very cool ring tone. When her cell phone rings, it meows! So, of course, sweet Toby has made friends with the phone and meows back.

I Am Going to Need a Sloth...
I know Christmas passed already, and my birthday, and Easter, and Valentine's Day, and St. Patrick's Day and probably a bunch of other holidays, but do you think someone could find a holiday coming in which you could give me and ADORABLE SLOTH as a gift?
I would give him green beans -- which he could share with his friends, of course -- and a nice place to sleep and eat, and probably a comfy hammock...
Seriously. These sloths are some of the cutest animals I've ever seen! (They kind of remind me of the ticklish little Loris, you think?)
Thanks to Cute's friend (and favorite artist!) BZTAT for sharing this cute sloth video!
P.S. We have a winner for our Cats Against Clay T-shirt giveaway contest! Concats to Fisher of Ask-Fisher.com who won the fabulous T-shirt for his person!

Doggie Sets the Table for Dinner
If you want noms, you have to have something to put the noms in... Edie the border collie knows this, and she's more than willing to help out if it means food's coming!
OK, so she doesn't technically have a table she's setting, but she is setting up her bowls for dinner! Doggies don't eat at the table anyway, do they? Do they? (I bet some do!)

The Epic Battle of the Deck Chair
When you find a good, comfy spot, you've got to be willing to defend it against anyone who threatens to take over your territory.
And if you're a cat, this means you may have to battle a doggie or two... But no worries -- just give him the one-two paw action and you're golden!
Let's just take one more look at my favorite part... Hehe.

Two Cats Tuesday: Moo's Story
Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! Last week I shared Pimp's story, and today it's Moo's turn to be in the spotlight.
I tell myself (and Moo) every single day (OK, several times a day) how lucky I am to have him. You see, I wasn't planning on a Moo. A Moo wasn't even an option -- "Pimp is an only child," I said more times that I'd even try and count. Until one day, this cow-spotted cat showed up at my back porch sliding door...
Well, food and love he could have; that was a no-brainer. But Pimp was an only child, so Moo (there was no other name I could have named him!) would have to settle for being an outside visitor kitty.
I fed him every morning and every night. And on weekends, I left the sliding glass door open with just the screen there so I could talk to him out there and he could talk to me. He rarely left the porch. It's like he made himself right at home!
When Christmas came about two weeks later, I gave Moo and Pimp matching boxes to hang out it (Moo loved boxes even back then!)...
And Moo got Christmas presents, too! Here he is with his first toy from me -- a catnip poof!
Over those weeks, Moo was making his case for becoming an inside kitty, and my "single cat" resolve was clearly melting. I would spend hours outside with him, sharing his chair and just reading or using my laptop. And Moo would spend hours just staring in...
Until finally, about three weeks later, I caved. Moo was coming in and getting a real forever home! And that, Cuteheads, was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. Maybe even the best. He's that special.
Since then, he's turned into the biggest love. He never leaves my side, follows me around, constantly wants to be held, give kisses, nosetaps and head butts. He sleeps on my pillow and purrs louder than a motorcycle.
I have no idea what he was doing outside (the vet said he was probably a little over a year old when I took him in, and clearly he was friendly), but I can only guess someone either left him behind when they moved or dumped him because they couldn't care for him anymore.
Either way, it turned out to be a blessing for both of us. He has me for a mommy and I have him for a Moo! Oh, and he also has Pimp for a brother... He's the only kitty in the world lucky enough to say that!
So all I can say is that things don't always happen as you plan them, but sometimes that's OK. Go with your heart and not your head, and if you're lucky enough, you'll end up as happy as I did.

But not your average outside kitty! Spoiled Moo had his own chair, with his own towel and everything... and he loved it.

Workout Kitteh Works Out
It's very important for kitties to eat right, get good sleep and exercise regularly. My kitties generally exercise by chasing each other around the house and playing with toys... but this kitty is serious about his workout out!

The Cats Stage a Protest!
Today's Cute is more of a "funny" than a "cute"... but I'm sure you'll love it! (And be sure to read to the end for a giveaway.)
This is a protest that was really held in Berkeley by the Cats Against Clay crew. They are a group against clay cat litter, and they really come up with the best campaign to get the word out. I love it.
They got together and started this protest and somehow it grew and grew... I think people really got into it! The signs are hysterical, the chants are super silly and the whole thing is a riot (not really, of course, it was peaceful).
Plus, here's the exciting part: One of Cute's lucky readers can win an official "Cats Against Clay" T-shirt! That's the logo over on the right -- it's fabulous! All you have to do is leave a comment saying you'd like to win. Me and Pimp will randomly pick a winner and have your shirt shipped off to you!
