This is a protest that was really held in Berkeley by the Cats Against Clay crew. They are a group against clay cat litter, and they really come up with the best campaign to get the word out. I love it.
They got together and started this protest and somehow it grew and grew... I think people really got into it! The signs are hysterical, the chants are super silly and the whole thing is a riot (not really, of course, it was peaceful).
Plus, here's the exciting part: One of Cute's lucky readers can win an official "Cats Against Clay" T-shirt! That's the logo over on the right -- it's fabulous! All you have to do is leave a comment saying you'd like to win. Me and Pimp will randomly pick a winner and have your shirt shipped off to you!
I love this post and I would be proud to wear your t-shirt. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHey, I can dig it!!!
ReplyDeleteThat really is a great video and I have been reading a lot about this issue and those people have a great point especially the clumping litter. That is the worst. It can wind up in the cat's intestines and then block them. It happened to one of mine.
ReplyDeleteYes we would love to have a T-shirt.
Have a great Sunday.
I loved the video, especially the finale, where four tall felines are seen walking across the road, mimicking the Beatles crossing Abbey Road in London. Simply clever!!
ReplyDeleteI love their website! Great post!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute campaign! I'd love to win their shirt :D
ReplyDeleteAHAHA! "My cat is HISSED OFF!"
ReplyDeletei love it!
Tillie the cat here...my personal pooper scooper-er would really like one of these t-shirts, then she'd HAVE to switch from that nasty clay gunk!
ReplyDeleteI loved the sign that said, "My cat even hats Clay Aiken!" We are rock 'n' roll kitties here, so we relate! Plus we don't use clay litter either.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I certainly don't want a t-shirt! I do NOT need to wear clothing. My human thinks she would like one, though.
heh

heh
Too cute but necessary. I lost a kitten to clay litter so I stopped using it years ago.
ROFL!!
ReplyDeleteMy mom needs one of these shirts so she can stop buying the clay. I've got her looking into the different types of litter and now just need to give her that extra push.
ReplyDeleteMeowingly yours,
Shadow
Mario's mom here - we never realized this was a problem until recently. We're now watching what kind of kitty litter we buy.
ReplyDeleteWe've been a clay-litter free since Cassidy was about 3 months old and he just turned 4 years old last month. Who knew that part of my "Cat allergy" was actually the clay litter. It's the "World's Best" for me and my @4CatTweets for sure
ReplyDeleteWe wanna win that T-shirt!! We don't use clay litter anymore...too messy and dusty!!
ReplyDeleteWe wanna win a t-shirt.
