Cute Kitten is Sad

This kitty has a sad. Well, he doesn't really have a sad, but his face is just the most heart-melting thing I've ever seen!

Even his momma coming over and giving him some licks and loves doesn't stop that perfect little pout. Don't you just want to squeeze him?

I Rescued a Human Today

Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels.
I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her.
I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid.

As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage.
I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today.
Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.

As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life.

She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her.
Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship.

A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well.

Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms.
I would promise to keep her safe. I would promise to always be by her side.
I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes.
I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor.
So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors.
So many more to be saved. At least I could save one.

I rescued a human today.

Porkchop's Wiggly Butt

Call me crazy, but the first thing I thought of when I saw Porkchop's wiggly walk was the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs song. Except, instead of "Whistle while you work," I was thinking "Wiggle while you walk."

Sing it to yourself. It's funny. Really. And Porkchop's butt is cute. I promise you that, too!

Two Cats Tuesday: Moo Thinks Bowls Are Hassle

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! Today Moo wants to demonstrate how he eats.

He does not eat like a normal cat. He eats like a goofball, because that's what he is. A goofball.

He likes to dig the food out of his bowl and scoop it out onto the floor, and then eat the pieces one by one like that. Then when that pile is done, he reaches in for some more.(Check out how funny he is looking around to see if anyone is looking. He knows he's crazy!)


You see what I mean? Goof. Ball. And just so you know this wasn't a one-time thing, here he is doing the same exact craziness almost exactly two years ago!

Pimp would never make this kind of a mess. He's a much more dignified eater. And by "dignified," I mean he's a vacuum. Don't blink or the whole bowl will be gone!

Does this paw look like it was made for scooping?! The only scooping going around here is in my litter box... Now get to it!

Spider Cats Climbing the Walls!

Spiders cats, spider cats. Do whatever a spider can...

We joke about kittens being crazy and energetic and climbing the walls, but these two kitties are actually doing it.

Something tells me this family is going to have their hands full with this fuzzy pair!

Birdie Learning Morse Code

I'm pretty sure this bird is tapping away the code for cute, don't you think?

I love how after his person finishes tapping their part, he always acknowledges with a a little chirp. Like he's saying, "Yup, got it. My turn."
