Puppy Teaches Puppy to Go Down Stairs

There comes a time in every puppy's life when he needs to learn to go down the stairs. Luckily for this 8-week-old lab baby, he has a big brother to show him the ropes!

Poor baby isn't sure about the steps, but Simon is a good teacher, showing him over and over again how it's done -- and even steadying him along the way when he finally gets the courage to try!

P.S. We have another transport going on today! A friend of Cute, Gina C., found a starving doxie puppy and took him in. She nursed him back to health, but couldn't keep him... so she found him a forever home -- and asked us if we could help get him there!

Dodger is being driven today from West Palm Beach to Ocala, FL by Cuteheads (and Cute transport super veterans!) Morgen P. and Carol P.! He is leaving around 10 a.m. and he should be home about four or five hours later!

His new mom is super excited, and I can't wait to see pictures of him in his new home!

P.P.S. We have another big road trip transport coming up soon, too! Forever Home Feline Ranch in Springfield, IL (who took in Berger from our #15catroadtrip!) is helping us save six cats from animal control here, and we are going to work to get them there! Stay tuned!

Dog Adopts and Protects Abandoned Kitten

When a tiny stray kitten wandered near this dog's home, he immediately took it upon himself to protect the baby and make sure she was safe.

The dog would bark whenever he heard any loud noises (with the kitten safely underneath him) and let the kitty cuddle up and get warm between his paws.

I've said it a million times, but animals are the best, aren't they? No wonder we love them so much!


P.S. The video's owner said this is his brother's dog and unfortunately he wasn't allowed to keep the kitten. He hung out with the doggie for a few days, but then they gave it away to someone. Probably best. Kitty needed some vetting and loving! But at least the sweet dog did what he could. :)

Oskar the Blind Cat Plays Fetch

Remember when we used to be amazed by cats who play fetch, period? Well, Oskar just made that look amateur -- he plays fetch even though he's blind! And he's really good at it, too!

His daddy throws the ball and Oskar runs after it, disappears for a little bit while he grabs it, and then comes bouncing back, ball proudly in his mouth!

Good boy, Oskar!

Two Cats, One Bowl

What happens when you have two chunky kitties and only one cat bowl? Well, they do the unimagineable... They actually share very nicely and take turns pulling the bowl to them and having a bite!

It's as nice as I've ever seen any two cats share anyway!

Two Cats Tuesday: Moo vs. Pimp in the Battle of the Bed

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! Some of you may not realize what goes down in this house all the time, so I wanted to share a play-by-play of a typical few moments around here.

Moo is a menace to poor Pimp. Day in and day out, Moo is so concerned with what Pimp is doing that Pimp can hardly catch a break. And when he does finally have a few minutes of peace and quiet without the rugrat causing a ruckus... it really is only a few minutes.

Pimp was lying in the bed I have right next to me at my desk when this happened...

P.S. I'm going to do a wrap-up post about all the cats we transported this weekend soon. I am getting pictures of them in their new spots and can't wait to share them with you all!

Kitten Drives Toy Car

Since this past weekend was dedicated to humans driving cars all over the U.S. for cats, I figured it was time for the kitties to do a little driving!

So here is a spunky little baby "driving" a toy truck. It looks like she's trying to get in the bed, which would make sense... if it was a regular bed for lying in, silly kitty!


FABULOUS NEWS: All the kitties from #15catroadtrip and #3catroadtrip made it home on their transports safe and sound yesterday! Thank you to everyone who helped out and shared and cheered them on along the way! Let's do it again real soon!

Cat Conducts a Musical Symphony

Cats meow and sing a lot, but did you know they can also be talented orchestra conductors? Well, they can with a little help, anyway.

Who hasn't done this with their kitty? I know I have!


NOTE FROM CUTE: The 3-cat transport and the 15-cat transport should both be finishing up today, Mother Nature permitting. We're keeping an eye on the bad weather in Illinois and Wisconsin and the fires in Florida. Both might mean extra sleepover nights for the kitties if it isn't safe to drive. Safety first!
