Talkative Loud Baby Rescued Kitten!
Mew was found on the streets by his owners just a few days before this video, and he's already making all of his demands known! Didn't take very long for him to show everyone who was in charge there, huh?

Cute Baby Kitten Kneading
Maui the tiny little white kitten just loves to knead the bathroom rub. She kneads and kneads and is making the sweetest biscuits!

Very Special Brave Kitten's First Snow
Lua is a very special kitty. Her back legs don't work because of a crushing accident, but she's beautiful and brave and even getting better!
She got to experience her first snow recently. Snow is a toy! Did you know that?
Under this video is another one of her with more about her and the treatments she is getting at Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue. She is doing great!
P.S. We just opened up our Santa Paws Drive raffle yesterday! Tickets are only $1 each and we have almost $800 of amazing pet lover prizes you can win -- huge scratchers, awesome kitty furniture, people and pet jewelry, treats, collars and more! And all proceeds go right to the Santa Paws Drive shelters. It's a win-win!
P.P.S. Sweet Pea is getting her ultrasound today to see if she has any tumor on her liver (read about that on Tuesday's post if you missed it). I am dropping her off in the morning before work and I'll update everyone as soon as I hear something. Paws crossed for good news.

Kitten Tries to Do a Headstand... Kills Us All With Cuteness
Oscar the kitten is trying to do a headstand (I think), but just ends up being an adorable roly-poly wigglebutt instead.
His little butt just keeps flopping over his head and making him tumble around, and pretty much it looks like he just doesn't have much control over it. He's an acrobatic little ginger, isn't he?

Adorable Kitten Saved From Inside a House Wall
Valentino was abandoned by his mom and somehow fell in between the walls of a California home. He meowed and meowed for help, but the family couldn't pinpoint exactly where the meowing was coming from.
Finally, the meowing moved to the wall by the front hall, and they could clearly tell where it was coming from. Time was running out for little Valentino, so the family's dad grabbed a small saw blade and cut a hole in their wall.
And what they saw would have melted anyone's heart. There was Valentino, meowing loud and clear, no doubt happy to see them!
This was 16 months ago, and the happy update is that Valentino (now renamed Atticus) was adopted by another family and is doing great!

P.S. Have you checked out Santa Paws Drive yet? It an annual all-online international toy drive I head up for shelter animals! This is our 5th year and I hope we can make it the best yet! Even one dollar helps!

Pavel the kitten was named after the Pavlova, the famous ballerina -- so it must have been destiny that he turned out to be such a gifted and enthusiastic dancer!

Kitten Saves Daddy's Hand from Falling
Snowflake is a very protective and good guard kitten!
Every time her daddy sticks his hand out of the window, she immediately rushes to the rescue, expertly lifting it back onto the safety of the inside ledge. Whew! Thank goodness she's always there to save it!
P.S. We have a couple transports coming up! One from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Jacksonville, FL next weekend (two drivers needed to each drive half) and one from Charlotte, NC all the way to San Antonio, TX (stopping at Mobile, AL) in between! I'll post legs soon, but if you haven't signed up already, please fill out our volunteer driver form so I can contact you if we're going through your area!

Naughty Little Kitten Annoys Sleepy Cat
Poor sleepy older cat is just trying to relax on the couch, when all of the sudden he's being pummeled on the head with a paw attack. He tries to ignore it, but it's no use. And so he goes on the counter attack, and all of the sudden the little kitten is probably second guessing his devious plan.
And then, of course, he doesn't learn his lesson and is back at it.

Parrot Kitten Loves Shoulders
Mac the kitten has discovered the most comfortable place to perch in the whole wide world... on his human sister's shoulder!
He can hang down her back and rest his paws and head over the front or lie across and onto her arm a little bit, whatever he likes! Plus, he has a great vantage point to see everything that's going on.
P.S. Pimp used to be a parrot kitty when he was a kitten! Where any of your cats?

Momma Cat Hugs Her Baby
Fair warning: This video contains the perfect storm of cute!
A tiny tabby baby sleeps belly up, kicking his little feet to his dreams. Momma lies nearby, her arm stretched protectively over him, occasionally giving him a little lick or a nuzzle. After a little bit, she goes in for the full hug, and we all collectively squee!
Did I mention that mom is a kitler cat?! As if she wasn't cute enough!

Bad Kitten Climbs a Painting
Kittens scratch furniture and chew cords and sometimes climb walls... but have you ever heard of one climbing a painting? This might be the epitome of bad kitty.
Needless to say, kitty's daddy does not approve of her behavior. I'm guessing the painting will have to move... because that was way too fun for her to not try again!
P.S. We have a transport coming up that needs just one more driver! A bunch of kitties saved from our local animal control in Pompano are heading up to Forever Home Feline Ranch in Springfield, IL to find their forever homes and we need just one more leg covered!
If you can help, please fill out our transport driver form! And if you can't, ask your friends!

The Rescue: Firefighter Saves Kitten and Brings Him Back to Life
Lucky was found alone and not moving or breathing in a home after a fire. A firefighter saw him lying lifeless on the floor, quickly scooped him up and took him outside to try to save him. He got an oxygen tank and some bottles of water, and carefully and kindly -- and miraculously! -- brought the little baby back to life.
It's such a beautiful, touching video. Every little life is worth the effort, worth saving. Hurray for fabulous firefighters!
NOTE FROM CUTE: I did read in an update that Lucky sadly ended up going to Bridge later that night, but I still think he was lucky. He was surrounded by love and shown what true compassion was, instead of being left in the house alone. So glad this firefighter found him!

Kitten Sneezes and Scares the Bejesus Out of Everyone
For such a tiny kitten, this sure is a big sneeze!
I saw her wind up, so I'm not sure why everyone was so startled by her little explosion, but her face after she sneezed is just priceless. She just doesn't understand what she did to deserve all that reaction.
P.S. I used "bejesus" in a blog post! How funny! Not sure why, but that word cracks me up. That and "shenanigans"...

Baby Monkey vs. Kitten
Did you know baby monkeys play just like kittens? The run around and wrestle and all -- and this one gets to do it with his kitten friend!
Darwin the monkey was rejected by his mom, so he was being cared for at The Nile River Camp, in Bujagali, Uganda. They have a kitten there named Alley-Cat, and the two became fast friends!
