These baby lambs are actually very talented. They are singing in perfect harmony AND in rounds!
(I just Googled that, by the way. I knew what it was, but not what it was called, so we all can learn something here: Singing in rounds is when one part of the choir starts, and then the other chimes in with the same thing, just at a different time.)
I dare you not to smile.
P.S. Remember when I got to cuddle a baby lamb? Cutest thing ever! I wish I could cuddle all of these little guys.
Thanks to Cutehead Christy for sharing this cute singing baby lambs video with us!
Thanks to Cutehead Donna S. for sharing this cute baby goat video with us!
P.S. This is my first time sharing a video from Facebook, so if you can't see it here, you can watch it at the original page. I heard some people had trouble seeing the kitty and ocean video yesterday from Instagram. Hope you can see this one!
Bubbles and Bella are the best of friends, and their favorite thing to do is splish-splash and play in the water together! Bella climbs on top of Bubbles and just launches herself off like a diving board. Tons of fun!
Bubbles was taken in by Myrtle Beach Safari after her parents were killed by ivory poachers. She was lucky and survived, and even luckier to have gotten to become friends with Bella!
Bella was abandoned on the property as a puppy by the contractor who they hired to build Bubbles a big pool. It must have been fate that they both love the water so much! Now they're just about inseparable.
Thanks to Cute's fab friend, Tamar, of I Have Cat for sending over this cute find!
Pure and simple happiness. Watching this otter play with his rock just makes me smile, because he's just getting so much joy and having so much fun with so little.
If only we could all find such pleasure in little things in life. This rock is the best thing ever!
Here's a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing video to end your week. Two gorgeous horses blowing bubbles in the water in a pond!
They're just enjoying a beautiful day and enjoying how wonderful the little things in life can be. Kind of makes me want to kick back and do nothing and just blow bubbles in a refreshing pond myself.
Take it slow today, everyone. Let's have an easy one. :)
Welcome to the world, baby pygmy hippo! You've got a lot of growing to do!
For such a youngster, he sure does have a bunch of cute fat rolls, doesn't he? I guess hippos kind of grow out of the loose rolls and get more solid and round when they get bigger? I never knew hippos were such adorable pudgy babies!
Twenty five cows experience true freedom for the first time as they are released from the dark barn they've known their whole lives and head for open pasture. The hop, they skip, they run and play... and it's just one of the most heart-warming videos ever.
These cows were destined for the slaughterhouse after the dairy farm they were at was forced to shut down for economic reasons. Some of the people who knew these gentle creatures couldn't bear the thought of that, so they started a foundation just to save them.
I saw this video going around Facebook and did some extra digging around, because a story like this deserves to be shared, and shared well. See below the video for more about the cows (they all even have names!).
The foundation, called Kuhrettung Rhein-Berg, is based in Germany. Their website has lots more information (which is in German, but Google Translate saved the day there). Turns out the way they are supporting these cows is by having people "sponsor" them. There are tons of cute pictures on the site of each one, and how close they are to being fully sponsored.
Did you know baby monkeys play just like kittens? The run around and wrestle and all -- and this one gets to do it with his kitten friend!
Darwin the monkey was rejected by his mom, so he was being cared for at The Nile River Camp, in Bujagali, Uganda. They have a kitten there named Alley-Cat, and the two became fast friends!
I guess we all probably squeak a little when we first dip into a pool or put our toes in the water to check the temperature of a bath or shower. Otters are just the same, it seems!
After being abandoned by her mother off the coast of California, Otter 501 (that's what they called her) was rescued and brought to Monterey Bay Aquarium to grow up big and strong and be released back into the wild. Here in this video, she gets a little snack of milk and then gets to go for the cutest little happy swim!
Bonedigger the big lion needs his teeth cleaned, and his trusty dachshund dentist, Milo, is there at the ready to help get his teeth squeaky clean!
We all know how important your smile is, and even more important the bigger it is! I wonder how Milo learned to do this? I think he's a brave dog!
P.S. Today is another transport day! We have two kitties traveling through Florida on their way to their forever homes! I'm using hashtag #HopperSimba on Twitter to share along the way.
Simba is heading to Tampa today. His new mom is in Georgia, and he is getting a ride to Georgia from tomorrow. He is going to sleep over tonight at Cutehead Melissa W.'s house until tomorrow!
Simba was actually named Kitty at the shelter, and he was miserable. We also thought he was a "she" at first, and her name was going to be Nala. But then... surprise! It's a boy! He is going to a wonderful forever home.
Simba's sad shelter picture. His name was Kitty at the time. Of course we had to help!
Hopper is also from animal control here in Pompano, FL. He was a staff favorite and somehow was still there after two months (a miracle that he survived there that long, and crazy that no one fell in love with him in that time!). But Cutehead Kristie W. in Tallahassee saw his picture when I shared it on Facebook and fell in love! And one thing led to another... and he's on the way to her!
Hopper is heading to Live Oak, FL today to camp out with Cutehead Dusti M. until next Saturday, and then Kristie will pick him up from there next weekend!
Hopper, looking quite the gentleman at the shelter.
Two more kitty lives saved! Thanks to today's Cutehead drivers, Carie P. (who fostered Hopper here!), Pam C., Linda L. and Diane L.! And thanks to Simba's awesome foster daddy, Kyle S., who fell in love with him, like I'm sure his new mom will. And, OF COURSE, huge thanks to our partner in rescue, Good Karma Pet Rescue, for getting them all vetted and out of the shelter to travel!
Two of my favorite animals (besides cats, of course!) are goats and sloths. Bonus points if either one of them is a baby.
Extra bonus points if there is a baby goat hopping around on a giant pig who couldn't possibly care less that the little goat is having the absolute time of his life! Hop on, little goatie!
Thanks to Cutehead Lauren G. for this cute baby goats plays on a giant pig video!
P.S. This weekend is another transport weekend! We need a driver in Jacksonville, FL. I am asking a couple people, but if you live there and can help, please fill out our transport volunteer driver form here!
When a baby bunny needed a mommy and didn't have one of her own around, the pretty momma kitty stepped up to the plate and adopted the little thing (who isn't really so little and is actually bigger than her kittens)!
Now they all belly up to the milk bar and drink away to their hearts content. I have a feeling they'll all grown big and strong and be the best of friends!
There's nothing in the world this cute dog wants than a kitten. More specifically, a female tabby baby.
He's been telling his daddy that he wants one really bad, and today his daddy had some pretty exciting news to tell him. I've never seen a more excited doggie!
We love a cute video. And we extra love a cute video that promotes adoption, like this one, which was made for Pets Add Life. Cute and for a good cause. Win!
Thanks to Cutehead Sue T. (and the one at HART who we sent all the transport kitties up to!) for sharing this cute Dog Wants a Kitten video with us!
Cheesecake is a capybara who lives at Rocky Ridge Refuge in North Arkansas. When a littler of doxie puppies was abandoned, she took it upon herself to take them under her paw and keep them company and be their foster mommy!
Aren't we a cute family?
See how they all pose for the camera? Adorable! Now watch them play!
P.S. So... we still need the same leg for our transport this weekend... and one other that I totally forgot about! Eek! If you can help drive, please fill out our form now!
SATURDAY, APRIL 6
Manning, SC to Fayetteville, NC
SUNDAY, APRIL 7
Milford, CT to South Kingstown, RI
OR
South Kingstown, RI to Boston, MA
(We have one person who could do either direction, so we need one of these filled.)
Oh hai. I'm Harry and I need a ride!
Here's Harry (he and his friends are named after Harry Potter characters!). He is a little scared, but getting better. He ended up at the shelter after someone found him. He's still so little, so we know he'll end up being a super cutie once he knows love!
What a lovely musical piece this genius raccoon is playing with his sprinkler! The melody flows just like water from a... well... from a sprinkler.
Sometimes you just come across a video that makes you giggle. This is one of those. You can also file this under: Some People Have Way Too Much Time on Their Hands (but we love them for it!).
P.S. I am going to keep sharing pictures of these ridiculously adorable kittens and taunting you all with their cuteness until we find all their legs to complete their transport next weekend!
They are going from South Florida all the way to Maine and we only have TWO legs left to fill. Let's not let these cuties down!
The Bakery Bunch is a lap family! This is them on my lap.
These are the drivers we need: April 6 **Savannah, GA to Manning, SC** **Manning, SC to Fayetteville, NC**
Can you help drive? Please fill out our volunteer form!
They love EVERY lap! Here they are on their Auntie Colleen's lap (even momma gets on!). Colleen is helping care for them!
And here they are on my dad's lap! They see a lap, and they hop right on!
All you need is 13 seconds to make your day a little cuter today!
Tiny baby hedgehogs get tired just like the rest of us... only they yawn way cuter than any of us could ever hope to. Take a little hedgehog powernap, baby!
NEXT TRANSPORT: Fort Lauderdale, FL to Cumberland, Maine!
So far, we've got two momma cats, six babies and a handsome mancat named Samuel L. Catson lined up to be safe and on the road to their happy forever lives! They are heading up to a rescue in Maine... and it's up to us Cuteheads to get them there!
Here is the map. If you are anywhere along the route, please sign up as a volunteer driver so I can contact you! Here is the signup form. Thank you!
A few baby sea lion pups discover a surfboard in the middle of the water (which just happens to have a camera mounted on it - lucky us!) and try to slide their way onto it to catch a little sun and warm up. Problem is, the darn thing is wet and slippery!
A couple of them seem to have gotten the hang of it right away, but Spotty there... Well, life can be tough sometimes. Try as he might, over and over again, he just can't stay on. As soon as he thinks he's up and stable -- whoops! -- of he slides again back into the water.
Will he ever make it up? You'll enjoy one of the cutest videos in a long time while you wait to see!
P.S. Don't you love his face at the end?
P.P.S. Tomorrow is another transport day! A whole caboodle of cats and kittens is heading for Forever Home Feline Ranch in Springfield, Illinois (again! yippee!). I'll post about them tomorrow! So excited that we can save more kitties together!
Thanks to Cute's amazing video-finding friend, Lauren G., for sending this in. We can always count on her for ridiculously adorable video finds!
A fuzzy caterpillar decides to take a leisurely stroll across the bars of the gorilla enclosure at the Calgary Zoo. This puzzles the gorillas greatly, apparently.
They lean in curiously for a closer look, kind of how I imagine my grandmother would look at a computer screen or iPad. But they don't get too close -- the caterpillar needs his space, you know.
The average gorilla weighs 300-400 pounds (according to Wikipedia, anyway). The average caterpillar is way less (I tried to Google this, but no luck. Anyone?). Amazing how the big gorillas can be so sweet and enthralled by the little guy!
Thanks to Cutehead Lauren G. for sharing this cute gorillas watching a caterpillar video with us!
P.S. We have two transports coming up and need help filling a couple legs. Can any of you do these or know someone who might?
