It's Transport Day Again! 8 Cats, 14 Drivers, 1,502 Miles! #8catroadtrip

Awwww, yeah! It's another wonderful weekend of driving kitties to their new forever homes! This time we have seven kitties going to Forever Home Feline Ranch in Springfield, Illinois, and one lucky, sweet kitty going to Antioch, Illinois!

Just like always, an amazing group of Cuteheads has come together to make this happen. The kitties are traveling all day Saturday and Sunday, with 14 different helpers to reach their final destinations!

The road trip kicks off bright and early this morning at 7:30 a.m. in Sunrise, Florida. Then they'll drive all day and sleep over in Atlanta, Georgia. Then Sunday morning they'll wake up early again and be off on the road again at 7:30 a.m.! Most of the kitties will finish their journey in Springfield, Illinois... and one pretty girl, Pookie, will keep on going another five hours or so to Antioch, Illinois. She won't get home until after 11 p.m. (that's a long day!), but it will be so worth it because she is getting the BEST home!

All the kitties heading to Forever Home Feline Ranch!
The kitties traveling are Russo, TC, Blackjack, Cassie, Azure, Licorice, Seven and Pookie. All of them were rescued from Broward Animal Control in Pompano. Eight wonderful lives saved!

I'll be posting updates along the way as usual on the Cute's Facebook page and Twitter as @YourDailyCute using the hashtag #8catroadtrip. Please follow along! It's always lots of fun!

First picture of the trip: All the fosters (except my dad taking the pic), Stacey from Good Karma and the first drivers! What a wonderful group of Cuteheads!
Want to help drive for future transports?
Here is the link to volunteer! Please sign up so I can contact you if kitties need to go through your area! A couple hours of your time one weekend can save so many lives. (It's a quick form and the info is only for me so I know how far you'd be willing to drive and how to reach you.) Thank you, everyone, for being so fantastic and caring and generous!

Huge thank you to so many people for making this possible: Nancy for letting us use her condo as the kitty condo, Colleen for being the kitty caretaker there, Maraly and Bob for fostering three kittens and being caretakers of the condo, too!, Carie and her family for fostering Pookie, Stacey of Good Karma Pet Rescue for being our awesome partner in rescue and doing all the vet coordinating and kitty taxiing around and so much more, and all the drivers -- Dawn, Karol, Dotty, Renee, Shannon, Laura, Tia, Emily, Marsha, Laura and Cindy, Brenda, Ronda and Dee. Extra special thanks to Mary C. for adopting Pookie! And extra extra special thanks to Cheryl of Forever Home Feline Ranch for getting us started on this life-saving fabulousness by letting me know they could take in a bunch of cats and save them! They are going to find the most wonderful forever homes thanks to them.

Hurray for saving kitties!

Kitty Loves Falling Dominoes

You know you're a true cat person when you spend hours setting up a giant circle of dominoes, only to start them tipping over just for your kitty's amusement.

Who knew falling dominoes could be such a fun cat toy? I love how this pretty kitty circles around following them as they fall... and then looks at him to "fix it" when they get stuck and need a little help falling again.

P.S. Tomorrow is transport day again! Eight kitties are heading out to Illinois!

Adorable Baby Disabled Pig and His Tiny Wheelchair

Chris P. Bacon is a tiny pig who was born a few weeks ago with a defect that makes it so he can't use his back legs. Someone brought him to a vet in Florida because they couldn't care for him... and the vet decided to adopt him instead of putting him down! Yay, for great vets!

Chris needed a little help getting around though, so the vet and his son fashioned this little piggy his own set of wheels. And now he gets around with no problems! (Sometimes it looks like he's so happy that he doesn't even need his wheels -- his piggy butt lifts right up and bops and bounces all the time!).

Squeee! Or should we say squeel!

P.S. Guess what I'm doing today? I'm driving Puck to his new mommy, Cutehead Tristin B.! Puck was rescued from Broward Animal Control in Pompano. He is the sweetest cat and has some polyps in his ears that his mommy and her vet will have removed. They are bothering him, but he will be all fixed up soon! I'm driving him a couple hours this afternoon, and I'll be sure to post pictures and updates on Your Daily Cute's Facebook page and @YourDailyCute on Twitter!

Puck is one lucky kitty!

Three Cats Take Their Daily Walk Around the Pond

Such a sweet daily routine these three kitties have with their daddy. Every day, they all go outside and take a nice, orderly, peaceful walk around the pond in the backyard.

It looks like the tuxie named Cracker always leads the way, and the other follow behind exploring here or there, but never straying from the path. And the daddy! Oh, the daddy. He just seems like the sweetest man ever.

The video is fairly long, but I found myself watching the whole thing and smiling. I promise you'll smile even if you only watch for a minute.

(If the video is not showing, you can watch it directly on Youtube here.)

NOTE FROM CUTE: We have a big transport coming up this weekend and we're still missing one leg... from Orlando to Ocala, FL on Saturday the 9th. It will probably be late morning, early afternoon. If you can help out, please fill out our transport form so I can contact you! Thank you so much! Here's the form: http://bit.ly/cutetransport

Two Cats Tuesday: Pimp and Moo's New Bow Ties!

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! Pimp and Moo got some fabulous new accessories and they can't wait to show them to you!

We went shopping at our fabulous friend's site, Sweet Pickles Designs, for some new collars... and guess what?! She has bow ties now, too! So naturally the boys needed bow ties. Right? Right.

I like to wear mine on the back of my neck, so you can always see it!

Mine rides to the side all cute and crooked... like me.

Hearts print -- purrfect for Valentine's Day coming up... and a Pimp!
Pimp's collar is pink velvet and his bow tie is an adorable heart print to match. Moo's is the most fabulous sunshine yellow color collar and his bow tie is yellow with white polka dots. So snazzy!

These bow ties make me so happy. They are so cute on the boys! They don't mind them at all. In fact, I don't even think they know they're on the collars! They attach with a little elastic loop, so it's easy to take them off and on.

And they stay on all the time... of course.

8 Signs Your Cat is Really a Dog

This may come as a shocker to some of you, but your cat may actually be a dog. Kodi the cat demonstrates eight things he does all the time that basically mean he's probably a woofie.

And after watching this video, I'm thoroughly convinced Moo is a dog, too. Maybe it's a cow-cat thing.

BONUS CUTE: Kodi is truly talented! Here he is late last year in The Nutcracker, as Performed by a Cat!

Golden Retriever Meets the Mailman to Get the Mail

If I was a mailman (or woman!), I'd love visiting houses like this. When he gets to this house with the letters in hand, one of their golden retrievers runs out to the gate to greet him, stands up on his back paws, grabs the mail in his mouth (like a good boy) and takes it back to his owners!

I think he was a little disappointed though that it was only one envelope. I'd mail this doggie a card if I knew where to send it!
