Introducing the newest blues duo in town! With a tiny toddler on the harmonica and a big bloodhound dog doing the vocals, this pair is certain to hit the big-time any day now.
That is, of course, unless the neighbors shut down their show first.
A couple weeks ago, Seattle Children's Hospital posted a story on their Facebook page about Maga, a cat-loving teen cancer patient who misses her own cat, Merry, very much.
Since they know how much she adores kitties, they came up with the sweetest plan ever. They put out an all-call for everyone to post pictures of their cats on their Facebook page -- so they could present them all to Maga to cheer her up.
Thousands of people responded (including many of you Cuteheads!) and this video is how they put it all together to show her. It is one of them most wonderful things I've ever seen.
UPDATE ON WENDY: Well, Wendy had to have one of her eyes removed Wednesday. The vets couldn't save it and they think she may have had a virus that started if off. It wasn't getting any circulation and there was nothing they could do. Here's the update from her amazing new mom, Marsha (who loves her very, very much whether she has one eye or two!):
"When I picked Wendy up at the vets after surgery yesterday, he mentioned she might have had some kind of viral infection under all this. I had them give her the shot for the antibiotics so I don't have to aggravate her more than necessary. She's getting pain meds 12 hours apart (in syringe form and bitter, but she's taking it (if not quite thrilled about it) and also antibiotic ointment for the good eye as a precautionary measure. She is such a sweet, loving girl - the staff who worked with her were very impressed ♥ That's my baby and I love her. I was a wreck til they called!! She had anesthesia pre-testing, but all surgeries have risks. Keeping her confined in one of my bathrooms and she is very happy, even with one eye. And, she gets a lot of visits. I exercise Chalse in the basement so far, away from the other cats. Hopefully, in time he'll adjust to them. So glad you all are saving more kitties ♥ (she continually gets the cone off her head, but doesn't seem to be bothering the stitches at all)"
I'll keep everyone posted. Let's all think good thoughts that she heals fast!
Clyde the cat was missing for 12 days before someone who saw a lost-cat sign saw him and picked him up. Jared, who is 10, has always had Clyde in his life and was devastated.
This is the video of their joyful reunion. I love happy endings! And I love the love that this kid clearly has for his kitty. And I love tissues, and so will you... because you'll need them.
Olivia is an adorable little one-year-old hugging her new kitten, Lily, for the first time. So sweet! All she wants to do is hug her and never, ever let her go.
I know little kids and kittens sometimes don't mix, but I absolutely love how great Olivia's parents are in making sure she knows that's a "real baby" and showing her how to hold Lily just right. And she is listening and doing is so well!
I wish I could remember the first time I hugged a kitten. Do any of you remember your first time?
Thanks to Cute's friend, Kathyrn, for sending over this adorable little girl holds a kitten video!
I'm sure this cute little girl was complaining about not getting attention or throwing a general fit before she got hit with the question she never thought she'd actually have to answer...
We all know they're rigged. The cute little pink elephant you want is stuffed just so, making it so that no matter how many quarters or tokens you feed the thing, that crane will always almost pick it up. And then you feel like you have to stuff another quarter in because, hey, you were this close and surely you'll get it the next time!
Well, for all of you out there who never get did get that cute little pink elephant, allow this child to show you how it's really done.
No really, I think that makes it even cuter, because of her little voice and the way she says the words. So much expression, so much enthusiasm, so much imagination.
It's a dramatic tales of hippos, monkey, witches and popotamuses (What is that?! No matter; I'm sure they're precious.) I love her and this is another example of how cute I imagine my future-child will be (Here's the other example.)
And as my sister said, I wish she could tell me stories every night before I go to sleep...
Seriously, this little girl has it down. She starts all slow-like, then the tension builds until, finally, Michael starts singing, and so does she. Well, I'm assuming that's singing.
But really, it's the dance moves that make the performance.
One more for "commercial" day at Your Daily Cute...
Apparently there's nothing in the world that a soft diaper can't fix. So next time you're having a bad day, maybe you should just put on your big girl diaper and deal with it.
You see, this is the problem with America: We're starting them with the dumb stuff way too early in life. This poor girl is going to grow up saying "whateva" and not even know any better. Then she'll teach her kids, and they'll teach their kids, and we'll all think it's cute -- until, 50 years from now, we realize people are still saying "whateva" and we kill ourselves.
She is cute though. Gotta give her that...
*Special thanks to Lenisse for sending this kid in. Whateva...
This poor kid is trying desperately to tell his dad something. He says it over and over. He points. He screams. He jumps. And all he gets is a good laugh (which is fully understandable considering the way he says blood).
Hopefully the baby isn't bleeding to death while this kid is trying to get his point across...
This baby has the cutest laugh! I started out laughing at the baby -- just too cute! But then, I started paying attention to his dad... and I'm convinced the baby is laughing at him, not with him.
