What you are about to witness is out of this world. It is cats and what it must be like to be high on catnip, set to trippy 70's music, complete with all the colors and kaleidoscopic images to match.
It's a nip trip fantastic... and somehow, it's actually a Litter Genie commercial. I can't say if that's a good litter box or not, but their creative department sure it willing to do some fun stuff!
Margaritas, apparently. It'll make sense in a minute, trust me.
In what is now my favorite commercial ever, Sauza Tequila has raised the bar when it comes to shameless use of things that have no relation to their product to get your attention.
For your viewing pleasure, we have an impossibly adorable kitten and a hot, breathy fireman who knows that "kittens make everything better" -- it might just make me order Sauza instead of Patron for my next margarita!
P.S. Speaking of margaritas... Guess what I'm doing this weekend? I'm going on a mini vacation to Key West with Tamar from I Have Cat! Cat ladies do Key West! We can't wait to visit the Hemingway House and generally just relax and hang out with as many cats as possible. And have margaritas, of course. Hopefully margaritas made by hot firemen who love cats. Too much to ask? ;)
Imagine what it would look like if cats went to work every day. They'd put on their little bowties and head into the office for a full day of phone calls, meetings, filing papers and water bowl gossip. Maybe they'd sneak away at for a three-niptini lunch every now and then...
This is all completely fantasy, of course. We all know cats wouldn't be caught dead doing actual work! But isn't this a great commercial? I wish I spoke the language to understand what they're saying. Do any of you?
Good, you're here. That means you listen to your cat. Your cat wanted you to read this because they want to be a star in a national TV commercial. (And Cute is telling you how!)
We got wind that Fresh Step Cat Litter is doing a cute cat video contest, and the winning cats are going to be in commercials! You remember Maru's Fresh Step commercial? That could be YOUR KITTY on there next! (Ahem, if your cat does win, don't forget the little people and Cuteheads that knew you before he was famous... Just sayin'.)
All you have to do to enter your cat in the TV commercial contest is take a cute cat video and upload it to the Fresh Step YouTube page. Here are their tiny rules:
-Video size must be under 2GB -Keep the focus on cats, not humans -Try to keep it under 2 minutes -We like cats being cats, not staged -Try to shoot in good light -Avoid package labels -Please no music due to licensing rules -Title your video and write a small description
That's it! Oh, and be sure to tell Cute if you send a video in so we can watch it and spread the word and cheer your kitty on! I'm going to enter one of Pimp and Moo, of course... ;)
Good luck to all the cute kitties out there! I just know one of you out there in Cuteheadland will be a winner!

Rumor had it that there was a Fresh Step commercial with Maru the box cat in it, but I had yet to see it... until now! I finally found it online, and am sharing it with you all in case you haven't seen it yet either.
Maru's Fresh Step commercial has a couple videos of Maru and his boxes and some other cute cat video viral favorites. How did a cat company not think of using videos like this before!? And Maru in a Fresh Step commercial about litter boxes (it's a box, right?)... purrfect!
Update 5/5/11: It looks like they had Maru's commercial video removed from YouTube. Bummer! Not to worry, though, here's the video where the clip in the commercial was taken from -- watch Maru and his big box action here!
(I'm going to leave the commercial video embedded below in case it starts working again...)
No surprise that this on make the Top 10 list! If anything, I'm surprised it's only #10. This cute little surprised kitty was one of the most watched videos of the whole year!
This is the cutest horse you've ever seen. Ever. I imagine she could probably live in my house quite comfortable, and even snuggle in the bed. Click on the picture for even more!
The moment when you bring a new furry "kid" into the family can be a tough one. You hope he gets along with your other furry kids... and sometimes he does. This is such a sweet commercial! Watch the video >>
I don't have to tell you how this kitties vs. toilet paper story ends. You've seen it before. And try and you might to get rid of those precious bundles of floof... you just melt every time they look at you. Watch the video >>
If this video doesn't bring a tear to your eye (a happy one!), nothing will. This guy just got home from serving overseas, and his doggie was heartbreakingly happy to see him! Watch the video >>
While death by cat may not sound cute, believe me it is... and you all thought so too! Here's one way your cat may kill you -- click on it for the rest!
Remember when Your Daily Cute held the first America's Next Top Model competition back in March? You all voted on the five finalists, and these are them! Congrats to @Monkey_Cat who ended up winning!
This sweet mama dog stole all of your cute little hearts this year, running away with the #1 spot. Here's one of the pictures you loved -- click on it to see the rest of the mommy doggie and her baby piggy!
I hope you enjoyed this Top 10 Cutes list! I had a blast all year posting videos and pictures for all of you. Your Daily Cute is one of my absolute favorite parts of my life right now. I've met so many great people, watched so many cute videos and hopefully caused so many smiles.
So I got suckered into clicking on an ad while I was listening to Pandora at work the other day -- it was too cute of an ad not to. It took me to a URL with the cutest name, www.alittlepieceofhappy.com, that had a bunch of videos -- some of them cute, some of them silly.
This, my friends, was cute enough to share... it is a little piece of happy.
Commercials like these restore my faith in the advertising business. I mean, for every bagillion annoying commercials out there, this is one precious gem... like this one.
Traveler's Insurance did an awesome job with their cute commercial -- I love it! And what a great actor this pup is. He should get a Doggie Oscar!
Is it me or is everything in Japan just the cutest thing you ever did see? I mean, this is a PIZZA commercial...
Here in the great U. S., our pizza commercials consist of guys who've eaten too much pizza talking about sausage and meat -- no where near as cute as this commercial (the topping dance just kills me).
One of my favorite videos of all time (this is a huge honor, by the way) is the Two Talking Cats. I love it and the super-cute Talking Cats Translated version.
Normally, I'd think commercializing such cuteness would ruin it, but I was wrong. Adding the Gecko in is actually pretty darn cute!
Meet Tillman, the skateboarding bulldog. He's from Venice Beach and his totally rad skills have even gotten him in an iPhone commercial.
He was only about a year and a half old in this video and is apparently a much better skateboarder now (Better?! He's already way better here than I'd ever be...).
As if I didn't want one of these before, this Roomba Cat video makes me really want one now. This cat just hops on his Roomba and cruises around the house...
If I ever got one of these (which, let's face it, I probably won't), I wonder what Pimp would do
a) Be scared of it and hide under the bed like a little fraidy cat. b) "Get low" and investigate it until he's comfortable, then go for a ride. c) Hop on for a ride, but crush it beneath his considerable girth.
I'm going with C. Either way, watch the Roomba Cat video -- it's all over the place right now and it's super cute!
And while we're all product-y today, here's a cute slinky cat video to watch next!
The moment when you bring a new "kid" into the family can be a tough one: Will Fido like his new playmate or hate her (and you for bringing the impostor in).
You hope it goes well and everyone loves each other and you'll all be one big, happy family -- like in this heart-warming little bulldog Petsmart commercial. Observe...
