If you haven't read the book about him yet (Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World), what are you waiting for?! Any cat lover, or animal lover really, will love, love, love this book. It's one of those books that you don't want to put down, but you don't want to finish either.
I loved the book, but it wasn't until my mom Googled Dewey that I came to find out that there was actually video of him! It makes it even better. Meet Dewey... I know you'll love him and his story as much as I do...
UPDATE! My friend Cathy just passed this along... They're going to make a movie about Dewey! Yay!

ReplyDeleteWe had a "Dewey" in our library too, here in Escondido, CA. He was named L.C. for Library Cat and he attacked someone's assistance dog, so got sued! I don't remember the exact story, but thank goodness for the internet, it is recapped here: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=7974724 in a memorial page. I am a cat lover from way back, so go Dewey!
