Some of you may think you have bad kitties. If you want to trade for a few days, you'll realize what an angel you actually have!
Phantom is so bored. He's always bored. Sooooooo bored. No matter how much I play with him, he's bored three minutes later again. When he gets bored, he tries to get my attention.
Nothing is safe. If there is anything that isn't glued, strapped or tied down, he's swatting it off the table or counter. If it's made of cardboard, wicker, wood or paper, he's gnawing the corner of it. He's always looking for his next bored victim.
In the past few days, however, he's picked up a new hobby. Apparently he's an interior decorator now!
Talk about climbing the walls!
Seriously, what am I supposed to do with this?! I think I've tried pretty much everything, including giving up. Haha. If you look at the second picture, you'll notice both bookcases have two completely empty shelves... that's because he knocked everything off of them so many times that I finally just took all the stuff off. But I don't want to have to take paintings off the walls! That's just insane.
P.S. I have something I'm super excited about that I'm working on! (If I'm not posting here, believe me... I'm not bored like Phantom! Hehe.) There's a sneak peek in the sidebar on the right. I can't wait to tell everyone about it! :)
Very informative, keep posting such good articles, it really helps to know about things.
ReplyDeleteThis won't help a bored kitty, it will help to keep the pictures straight. Take double stick tape and put it on the bottom two corners and then press. I wouldn't do this is you have wallpaper.
ReplyDeleteI think Phantom is trying to tell you he needs some vertical shelving and a cat tree to climb and explore.
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem so instead of one hook in the middle i have a hook/nail on each corner so the picture cannot tilt when the cats reach for it.
My cats do the same times 10! I got to the point where i can't leave anything on my tables,at least nothing breakable for everything always gets knocked off. One would think after 50 years i would of given up but i still have hope that one day i could put down a glass or plate with food and find it in the exact same spot i left it without paw prints, spilled glass or missing food from said plate,ha,i can dream can't i!
get some of those shelves that run along the wall (Jackson galaxy )so he can get up high what a bad boy!!
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, Phantom is no worse than Pique! For the pictures, try putting two nails or hooks on the wall about an inch apart (or more, depending on painting size) and hanging the pictures on them. That will keep them straight and make it harder for Phantom to knock them askew or even knock them off the wall completely. When he realizes that he can't "fix" them, he will go on to find some other way to drive you batty. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think I may need to change Fiona the Diva Kitty to Fiona the Diva Who's Extraordinarily Well-Behaved for a Diva Kitty. But probably not on Twitter. :p
ReplyDeleteI love Phantom too!
ReplyDeleteI always had a very soft spot in my heart for Phantom and as I understand your frustration, I'd forgive him ! This is so easy to say as my 2 kitties never behaved bad (well, the male is a big talker but I learned to ignore it) like Phantom. I'm for sure the happiest kitty-mom ! Don't give up, Dorian, he'll slow down with age > patience... Happy Easter to all of you.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried sticky tape?
ReplyDeleteHe needs a kitten. I'm serious. Sherpa was like this until he got Harry.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to play with Phantom. ~Ernie
ReplyDeleteBahahahaha museum gel is ur new best friend. Amazon. Go.
ReplyDeleteWhere did MY post go? I saw a field for it at the top, wrote my note, & figured I'd see it here. Nuh-ungh.... :(
ReplyDeleteJust appreciate them for who they are, "faults" & all. You see, some sad day you'll no longer have them, & you may find you =ache= for the sound of a plate crashing to the floor.... <3
ReplyDeleteMOL never ever seen any kitties do that...Cool !
ReplyDeleteOh i do believe me! I lost 2 this past year and its still too hard to talk about. I miss them so...
ReplyDeleteYou seriously need some museum putty. They even have special picture hangers. You can stick Phantom to a wall with it! Just kidding, but it will stop stuff from hitting the floor.
ReplyDeletewe know....Phantom needs...a KITTEN :)
ReplyDeleteHe's like a teenager! Hmm ... maybe he IS a teenager ... I know, this doesn't help. But he's so funny!
ReplyDeleteOh no. That would just drive me crazy. Nothing is safe. Not even pictures on the walls! Yikes.
ReplyDeleteAmazing blog and very interesting stuff you got here! I definitely learned a lot from reading through some of your earlier posts as well and decided to drop a comment on this one!
