Three Cats Thursday: An Update on Pimp, Moo and Phantom!

Happy Three Cats Thursday, Cuteheads! Whew, it's been a while, hasn't it? The boys keep telling me I need to get back at it so they can share their pictures with you all!

I wanted to pop in and update you on everyone. We're all doing great!

PIMP

Pimp is doing a great job of relaxing around the house and being a sweet old man. He had a vet visit a couple weeks ago, and the doctor said that he's a "healthy hyperthyroid cat" -- so we'll take that as a positive!

He weighs 8 pounds still, so he's maintaining his weight (good!) and everything else is doing great as well! He's going to live forever, I always tell him.

MOO

Oh, Moo. He's really living up to his name. I think he weighed 12.8 pounds at his vet visit last week, and aside from needed to lose a couple of those, he got a clean bill of health also!

Moo has been spending all his time in his not-box still (yes, that thing is still around... and it's almost a year and a half old now!) and other various boxes that I order him online that just so happen to have stuff inside them for me. I take that junk out right away though so he can have his box!

PHANTOM

Phantom is such a special cat, you guys. He is amazing. He has so much personality it's ridiculous.

He doesn't stop talking, he follows me around the house, he does the craziest things to get attention (like use his paw to lift a mirror away from a wall and then let it slam back so it makes an atrocious thud... over and over and over again until I pay attention to him) and is just such a goofball.

He is also a diva lately, and changes his mind about his favorite food or foods he won't eat every week. Last week he decided he LOVED this one weight-control canned food and so I went out and stocked up (finally, something he loves!), and two days later he'd rather starve than eat it. Unreal. I always tell him he's the most expensive shelter cat ever. ;)

And ME!

And I'm doing great too! I got the boys' Halloween costumes all lined up, so I'll share pictures of those next week after we do a photo shoot! It's Phantom's first Halloween and holiday season... He has no idea what's coming as far as the dressing-up goes. ;)

Hope all of you are doing fabulous! Have anything fun to report? Share share share!

  3. So glad for the update -- I've missed Three Cats Thursday! Glad to see the boys are all doing fine and hope you are also. Can't wait to see the Halloween photos! My cat hates getting dressed up so I never have that fun.

  8. I've missed you and the cats! I lost my Siamese boy Jesse a few months ago and can't stop grieving. Then my neighbor dumped his pregnant cat on me a month later so now I have a Momma cat and a 10 week old kitten in the house to complement the other 9 cats and 3 dogs. Lots of work, lots of fun, and some frustration that Momma Verlander won't integrate, instead wanting to fight everyone except her kitten and the dogs. :-(

  10. Oh I'm so happy you posted,i thought you got lost,(not really been following you on FB too)! So happy everyone is doing well.Just yesterday i was going through some things i saved and i came across your post that said something akin too 'Not sure its three cats Thrusday' talking about Phantom of course. Isn't it amazing how a kitty can change your life (and his),just think,it almost wasn't...yeah,i'm doing an 'Its a wonderful life',haha!

My cats are doing very well but i also had a few changes. We have increased our household to 11 now. Boomer is the most adorable grey and white kittys I've had the pleasure of having in a long time. One of the most friendliest too! He came into our lives a little over a month ago and it has been non stop exploring and playing and he is a cuddlebug big time!

We also just lost Sweetie 4 days ago.Ten years ago the person that owned her left her to fend for herself when they moved. She had two other families before we got her (what the hell is wrong with people not taking their cat with them when they move?) anyway. I was shocked to find out she was declawed. To this day i have no idea how she fended for herself being an outside cat? She had a wonderful life with us for a little over two years.A warm house, all the tunna she could eat (and chicken baked just they way she like it!) and my other kitties didn't even give her a hard time,no fights just peace. I'm not sure what she died from, she passed away in her sleep, peacefully thank god.Even though we only had her for a short time she sure ate up my heart.I couldn't (still can't) believe how hard her passing has hit me,I miss her terribly....

Think i better shut up now,lol but just let me say you and your kitties have been missed here.So in other words Don't let it go so long again! :D

  11. Oh those boys! Of course, even though Pimp is my favorite (please don't EVER mention this to Moo and Phantom), I love updates and photos of all of them! Re: Phantom's attention seeking behavior, it reminds me so much of my dear Sadie (who looked a lot like Pimp and why I've always loved Pimp so much). She used to bang on window blinds and doorknobs in the middle of the night so I'd wake up and pay attention to her. She also kept up a steady stream of chatter for all of her 17 years. At ALL hours of the day and night! I still attribute my ability to survive on 3 hours of sleep to many sleepless nights due to Sadie! I adored that little monster! Speaking of monsters, I can't WAIT for Halloween pix of the boys!

So nice to see everybuddy and hear all are well. Phantom definitely sounds like a character. Bet he keeps you on your toes. Think about entering our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop. Both Moo's and Phantom's photos would be purrfect. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  13. LOL about Phantom's eating habit. All my cats, current and those now at RB, are like that with canned food!

  14. Y'all dearest, missed you so much ! Wonderful that you're all doing well. The kitties look just gorgeous. Am looking forward to see them in their Halloween costumes.

  15. Missed you all! So glad everyone is sassy, if not fat-and-sassy. Not-fat is definitely better, according to our vet, if not the Kitters. (They just don't get why there isn't as much food in the bowls as there used to be.)

  16. I've missed you so much!! Wonderful to have you back and know that everyone is doing so well.

  20. It gets really bright pink when he's excited or spooked. Even cuter. <3

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thank you! We missed everyone, too! The boys say hi!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Don't tell these boys about not-fat either! Moo has no interest in being not-fat. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  23. He's such a diva! Makes me crazy sometimes. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Oh, how fun! We'll stop by!

And yes, Phantom is absurd. He's just the funniest cat. So much personality! :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about Smokey. <3 And I'm so happy for Dominoe and Dash! Sounds like they hit the jackpot. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hah! Sadie sounds like she was just like Phantom! He's such a nut, but I love him for it!

Speaking of monsters... it's going to be a scary Halloween! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  27. And don't worry... secret's safe with me! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Aw, I'm so sorry about Sweetie. I know how hard it is to lose a family member, even if they've only been with you for what seems like a short time. It sounds like she lived the good life and was very grateful for it! <3

We'll try to keep up the posts! I do miss it too! :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hah! Up to the same old, Caren... just not writing it down! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Aw, I'm so sorry about Jesse. <3 It sounds like maybe Momma Verlander and her baby came to you to help heal the hole. :)

Give her time. She's probably feeling protective of her baby too. Sometimes it takes a while. It took Pimp and Moo a few months to get used to Phantom and be OK with me leaving them alone with him!

    ReplyDelete
  31. <3 We'll see how "happy" they are when I make them wear their costumes...

    ReplyDelete
  32. I can't wait to see how Phantom does!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Haha. I can't say the boys necessarily love it either, but it's a small price to pay for living the good life here. ;) Part of the deal!

    ReplyDelete
  34. well it is great to "see" you!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Trouble, Lita and I are doing just fine. They're the best company--much better than a human roommate.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The picture of Moo made me crack up...so ready for mischief!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Andre & I are doing wonderful!! He's sitting in my lap as I type this. He's such a snuggle bug but 5 min from now he'll probably be flying thru the house at top speeds. He's full of fun. The pictures & updates are great, love your kids!!! We've missed you. Thanks for all you do for the shelter kitties.

    ReplyDelete
  38. hello kitties its dennis the vizsla dog hay nice to see yoo!!! ok bye

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm so happy to hear from you and your little men. They all look so great and happy!! I'm glad you are doing good too. I was missing you guys.

We also got a black kitty named Ben. He's got a little white patches too here and there. I want to spread the word and I am sure you agree Dorian, that black cats are fantastic!! They have cool personalities and not scary in the least!! No way. No superstitions needed. Our Ben is so much fun and goofy too and a cuddle bug. He loves loves loves his brothers' hugs and grooming times. It is so precious to see them.

I can't wait to see your sweet guys in their silky costume loving, hating or just giving in to them to satisfy mommy. :)

Take care. Nice to hear from you. Xo

  40. Just noticed this comment, Dorian. Maggie's normally light pink nose goes all the way from nearly white to hot, hot pink, and her little tooter-pads (ie her toe pads) always match. First cat I've ever had who does this. Sooo cool!
