This beautiful cat is a serval cat. If you haven't heard of them before, they are BIG. And if you breed a serval cat with a domestic house cat, you get what they call a savannah cat. (More info here for servals and savannahs.)

ReplyDeleteYup, here comes a huge cat. Kind of scary. Glad he missed the camera person. It would be neat to have one of those . Be like having a dog but it is a cat. Great video.

A serval is not a domestic cat, it is a cat that belongs in the wild not in someone's bedroom. It's not a big cat for a wild cat but actually only weights about 25 to 50 pounds. See the following webpage for more information: http://www.servals.org/home.htm

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - dat is one big pussy cat. About a year ago a man from Alaska stopped in our city. His kitty of this bread escaped from the camper he was traveling in. Kitty was found and returned to owner, but it sure made a lot of press in our paper. Never knew there was such a big kitty. Beautiful tho.
