Two Cats Tuesday: Why Moo is NOT Allowed on My Desk Right Now

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! Today is not for the faint of heart. Moo is not allowed on my desk right now, and I'm about to show you why.

There I was happily Facebooking, when Moo came up like he always does for a cuddle. He likes to throw himself over my shoulder, so his head is behind me and his back legs are on the desk, his tail and butt by my face. Cats.

Fine. I like to pet him while he does this because, let's face it, it's pretty cute. He's kind of my reverse parrot.

So I was petting him and he was nuzzling my cheek, when all of the sudden...

Biggify at your own risk.

What's all over my screen, you ask?

I don't have the answer to that. All I know is that it came out of MOO'S BUTT. And it went all the way from his butt at least 10 inches to splatter on my screen.

REALLY MOO? REALLY?!

This has never happened before. Usually he uses the computer with me much like the latest Simon's Cat video, but this is a new situation. One that I hope I never have to deal with again.

And now I'm looking at him like, "Do you do this in other places and I don't notice?" Surely I'd notice. Our furniture, carpet and my skin is light. I'd notice poo splashes, right? Right?!

Needless to say, he's on desk Time Out for a bit. Pimp, however, he's cool. He'd never do something like this.

  3. Ick!! If it isn't poop and still stinks (terribly in my experience) it's possible he needs his anal glands expressed. It can be a problem in some kitties.

  4. Er, he didn't spray poop or pee. He needs to express himself!!! Unfortunately, he doesn't do that by meowing or gesticulating, but by spraying. But you can help him express (his anal glands, unfortunately)...

  5. Sounds like an isolated incident. He probably just had a stomach ache or something.  Poor Moo, Poor YOU!

  6. Moogie was sitting on my chest last night, watching American Pickers, when he lifted his tail and let go. Fortunately, it was gas only, but I nearly gagged and my eyes watered... Whew!

  7. That Daisy is so funny! :)

That happens with Grace sometimes. If I pet her too close to her tail, she does that accidentally. It's all stinky too and then she goes nuts trying to clean it up. Ick.

It's okay, Moo. We know you didn't mean to...

KC sprayed Natalie's monitor a few weeks ago. Maybe Moo's jealous that your paying more attention to it (the monitor) than him?

  17. When I pat my one cat" Trubble" on the lower back area or the base of his tail he butt squirts ...I guess it releases his anal sacs...I makes sure his rear is facing the rear. Also he squiggles his tail and releases...I have been told it get itchy for them.

  18. thankfully my cats never did that but...who knows what they are doing behind my back...do you think Moo had a bad diarrhea?

  19. ewww :) Oh no...that's funny though :) My kitties have never done this although our new kitten farts like nobody's business.

  20. I've done that on some bad work, but never over a laptop. I'll keep it in mind though.

  21. LOL.. That is just too funny.  Poor Moo.  Our cats have never done that, but our little Memphis is quite potent w/the gas.  She is black w/white rings on the tip of her tail.  [She's also blind].  If you startle her, she really lets one go.  We keep saying she's part skunk w/the built in defense system, lol.

  22. Could be worse. On one of the cats groups where I post, a notoriously cantankerous kitty who wanted attention from his Meowmie, who was on the computer, deliberately voided his anal glands into her keyboard. PHEWWWW -- the reek was stupendous and she actually had to replace the keyboard because of it.

  23. Maybe Moo just got upset at what was on the screeen.  Hopefully it does not occur, but 'things' sometime happen but that was a pretty big squirt.  Gas hurts.  Better do a squeeze job if you know how...my friend does her dogs but I've always had the vet do it, if necessary.  Otherwise, they drag their butts over a small 2x4 carpet piece placed by litters.
