Two Cats Tuesday: How NOT to Take a Picture of a Cat

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! Today Pimp would like to show you why it is so hard to get a good picture of a cat.

It's a miracle any of us have any decent pictures of our kitties. Do you all get this level of cooperation also?

  1. Oh, my kitties do the same thing...then, when I put the camera down, they do the cutest things! Little stinkers! ;-)

  3. HA! I love how he nonchalantly sniffs the floor...he's all like: you're not the boss of me! too funny

  4. Hmmmm....it's either that, or they walk directly into the camera!

  5. Making "pss pss" sounds always makes my kitty turn around!

  6. And as soon as you put the camera away, the lil stinkers look at you!!!

  7. Hey, he didn't walk off! When I try to take pictures of my fosters to post online I always get bunches of "leaving" pictures before I get a decent one!

  8. So cute. Mine are the same. Sometimes. This weekend I was trying and trying to take a pic of my Jack. Every time I set the camera he would look away, then I would hide the camera and he would look at me and again and again the same process. Camera ready, looks away, hiding camera, looks at me. Then I just gave up!

  9. A little cat-based bribery needed, possibly?

  10. I like his "I do not acknowledge your existence" state. Bet he looked over as soon as you put down the camera!

  13. Completely true! Cats become covert operatives when you want to get a picture of them and won't look at the camera. :)

  14. Well, that's either really good (for the cat) or not so good (for the Mommeh). I hate it when they do that. Ugh.

  16. I'm a terrible photographer! But I guess my problems are the same as other people's. They NEVER look into the camera - ever. You have to get on the floor with them at their level, and then, yes, they walk right TO the camera and smear their wet noses all over the lens.
I think the successful people who post videos of their cats must have lots of time on their hands to take so many, many videos, hoping for a really cool few seconds to edit

  17. Mommy just walks around to the other side when this happens. The other problem is that some of us want to investigate the big black box with the piece of glass on it and walk towards it. The photo session ends right there and the cuddle session begins, which is OK with us. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrs.
