First, they want you to know about their two best friends, a couple birdies named Freddie and Fiona. Freddie and Fiona visit regularly, and sit on the balcony ledge or on the patio furniture out there and just chit chat with Pimp and Moo. The boy chatter, and the birdies tweet. I am sure they have meaningful conversations.

ReplyDeleteMmm cats make a snickering sound when they see a bird, it is a universal cat sound/word unfortunately it's a hunting sound relating to their desire to kill the bird, ahh well that is a natural instinct ... so best keep the windows closed. I sometimes get tiny wrens in my garden, they are not silly enough to nest where a climbing polydactyl lives, but if they see him they chase him around the garden from tree to tree calling a warning, "meaning cat on the loose" it is the loudest sound I've ever heard a small bird make, it sounds something like a football rattle! My cat? he does'nt bat an ear or an eyelid, but he will climb a tree to respond to a taunting Magpie - never caught one yet, but it did leave him stuck at the very top of the cherry tree once! L O L

ReplyDeleteA little Pimp and Moo therapy after a tough Monday...my Hopper "chatters" at birds outside, it's the craziest noise! One time we are in the bedroom and all three of them are sitting in the sliding door window, but have turned to look at us. Just at that moment, a jack rabbit has walked up to the window and is just sitting there. I said "Look! A rabbit!" and all three of them turned (like they could understand!) and JUMPED six feet in the air! It was hysterical!

ReplyDeleteI keep a bird feeder on my patio, and both of my cats love to chatter at the birds. What they would really love is a chance to eat them, but they'll never get that chance.

ReplyDeleteI have a bird feeder that is a one way mirror so I - and Ellie - can see the birds but they can't see us. Drives her crazy to be nose to nose with them and they don't seem to care.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a good day to see pictures of Pimp and Moo watching and 'chattering' as mine used to do - jaw trembling with anticipation, but learned it didn't help. Moo is so condescending while Pimp meow, meows, and then rolls over in the sun. Lovely way to spend the day! Go easy on yourself Dorian - you do marvelous work it is appreciated by all. We will always remember Lestat, his sweet face as well.
