Three Cats Tuesday: Pimp Then and Now with His Bear (He's Grown!) and More

Happy Three Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! No, I haven't given in (Pea is looking for a home!), but I figured since Sweet Pea is here, she might as well get some blog time, right?

So today we have a bunch of stuff going on, but the coolest thing is the first one. I went in the bedroom a couple days ago and found Pimp lying next to my white bear (Florida people: Remember the Burdines bears from when Burdines was still around? He's one!), and I immediately thought of the picture I have on my fridge of him as a teeny baby, cuddled up to the same bear.

I stealth-mode went and got my camera (so he wouldn't move) and got the picture! Then I put them next to each other to compare...

Same bear, same Pimp... 14 years later! (Click to biggify.)
And meanwhile, later on the bed...

You want rub my belly?
And then on the other side of the house, miss Sweet Pea has found herself a new spot to sit in. When I walked into the bathroom, she was curled up in the sink, but by the time I got the phone to take a picture, she was up. Still cute though! (If you live in Florida and want to adopt Sweet Pea, let me know!)

I've never had a sink before! This is cozy...

  3. All sweet - Pimp likes 'his' ears. Moo like belly rubs and surprise, surprise, Sweet Pea is at your place and in residence in the bathroom sink! Cute, cute, cute! Is she in contact with Pimp and Moo? Did I miss something? When did sweet, Sweet Pea arrive?

  4. Come on, Pea needs you! Keep her please. Your bear needs a bath. They say you can't wash them, but I have a big stuffed leopard that is 30+ years old that looked almost like your bear and in desperation I put him through the washer. He looks good as new now!

  10. LOL, Sweat Pea is such a treasure! reminds me of my eldest black cat, have the best picture of him hanging out in our sink also. Quick question, when you posted for Halloween I didn't see a pic of Pea in costume, does she not like to dress up?

  15. Sweetheart, I think that somehow you've not seen the obvious. Pea has found her purrfect home. She's known it since day one. No one but you would ever have been willing to sacrifice for her for all those years you kept her fed, healthy, and as warm as possible in that dangerous parking lot. You have been given the biggest of all big blessings: YOU have been chosen as the beyond perfect one to continue to give her love, life, warmth, all the food she can eat, etc. After all these years, I think it would be almost impossible for her to
try to adjust to any other home you could possibly try. If she was younger, or had a different, more stable past, it might be different. She's right where she knows that she belongs -- in her more than perfect FURREVER home!!

  16. I know how annoying it must be to be already struggling with the decision of keeping her and having us all throwing our opinions at you but I SO agree with Catmother, she said it perfectly, Sweet Pea knows she is safe with you and is already settled in to your home and has been settled into your life for a long time. She really does seem to need the security that you have given her and can continue to give. Either way, Moo is silly and Pimp is regal as always. I love your cat family :)

  17. I know it's hard... and you keep telling yourself it's not happening... but you know she belongs with you, and just can't deny the signs... ;-) Same happened to me. I'd already had my two boys and then my father found a kitten. She was *supposed* to go to a 'good home'. Seven years later she is the ruler of the house ;-)
