Two Cats (and a Phantom) Tuesday: #PhantomWatch Has Commenced - With Video

Happy Two Cats and a Phantom Tuesday, Cuteheads! This week the boys got to meet Phantom for real (aside from Moo just hissing through a crack in the door when I go in and out of the bedroom), and Moo was none too happy about it.

Poor Moo. He gets so nervous and anxious. He doesn't really like anyone but me and Pimp. Anything else just totally disrupts his little world.

Phantom is the latest intruder into Moo's neat, calm, safe Beach House Bubble. So that means he must keep a close eye on him!

He's not just watching though. This is different than it was with Pea. Moo is growling and doing the helicopter ears and just all around so much more unhappy about the situation.

I really hope he chills out. I have Feliway plugged into every room and am getting Spirit Essences to drop in his water. He's just such a 'fraidy cat!

And to make this worse, Phantom has NO fear and just walks right up to me all happy-go-lucky and adorably sweet like, "Hi! I'm Phantom! Wanna play? Doyadoyadoya?!?"

And then Moo hisses at him.

Paws crossed we can be at a more peaceful place soon.

P.S. Pimp and Moo had their follow-up vet visit on Saturday, and it was all great news! Moo's glucose levels are back to normal (whew, no diabetes!) and Pimp's two ear infections are all cleared up! Yeah!

  4. Moo is not very happy. Poor Phantom just wants a friend to play with. I'm glad to hear that Pimp and Moo are healthy. So are you keeping Phantom? Or are you a foster mommy for him?

  8. Moo is so cute....he's just protecting his territory and his mama!!! Wow, that's neat that Phantom is not afraid.
Happy the vet visit was good. I take it Pimp just observes all this going on around him!!! It'll be okay....it just takes a little time!!!

  9. Great vet news. Re Moo: like everyone says, these things usually resolve, or at least reach a mutual level of semi-tolerance, in time. And, Wow, Phantom sure has a long tail!

  10. I have heard that putting olive oil or something on the anal glands of both cats helps them think they are related when they smell each other....its a thought

  11. Spirit Essences are wonderful! Nigel (& I) would be lost without them. I am sure they will help the situation. Good luck.

  12. Just putting a little drop of vanilla extract above both their noses helped my two kitties to become friendly with each other. (They're not best friends but tolerate each other just fine.) I did that for about 2 weeks.

  13. Don't despair. It took six months for peace to resume after our latest addition and one of my cats still HATES the sight of her baby sister (almost 3 years later).

  14. I have a sweet foster in my former--now her bathroom. She is really a princess! She thinks my cats are smelly and disgusting, LOL! She will sit and watch them quietly but if she gets a whiff of them, well, they had better watch out. They are all carefully curious and very polite with her, which is lovely, but once she starts quietly growling at them they're out the door!
