I highly recommend these "cat toys." They come in packs or 10 to 100 and a variety of colors. And best of all, when your cat is not playing with them, they double as something you can put your hair up with! Imagine that!
Moo, on the other hand, prefers real toys -- the bigger and more ridiculous, the better. Which is good, because those are more expensive, so they kind of even each other out.
What are your kitties' favorite toys? Do share!
You guys need to talk your mummy into getting you some bendy straws. BEST. TOYS. EVER!!!
ReplyDeleteOne of my two kitties' favorite toys is this random little cloth toy bear we found in a bag of books, Sitara especially adores it, though at the moment it's lost :( they also love playing with my husband's Dungeons and Dragons dice, their favorite being a clear pink d12 (12 sided). Sitara also loves playing with our roommate's sock covered feet xD
ReplyDeleteMoxie says 'MEW!' to Pimp, as she loves hair things, too! Every now and again, she'll fetch one and expect it to be tossed away, so she can fetch it back again! Of course, after a while, those hair 'toys' have lost all their spring, but does that bother Moxie? Nope!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Eddie is completely obsessed with pipe cleaners! Who knows how much I spent on toys and in the end pipe cleaners reign supreme. He knows he looks so adorable carrying them around in his mouth too ;0)
ReplyDeleteGinger loves raw strands of spaghetti, although they don't last long. Emma is obsessed with the laser pointer. And then there the boxes ... when Momma gets a parcel, the box is their new favorite thing! My record for not-being-allowed-to-throw-the-box-away was 18 months. Imagine a year and a half with a cardboard box in the middle of the living-room because it was part toy, part nest ...
ReplyDeleteMy sweet Tiger absolutely loves the plastic milk rings.
ReplyDeleteMy angel Moo used to love his Cat Charmer, also. I have many pictures of him playing tug-o-war with it.
ReplyDeleteThe favorite every day toy right now is a hair curler. The pink prickly kind. They are only or the cats to use and they always find their way into the bathroom. Must be the best place for playing.
We have had a big printer box in the dining room for over 2 years. The cats didn't want to give it up so we finally threw a tarp over it and it became their new window perch.
ReplyDeleteawwwwwwwww love ur sweetness Pimp..
ReplyDeleteI feel compelled to mention that cats should NEVER be allowed to play with hair ties, rubber bands, or strings by themselves. A friend's sister lost her cat when it swallowed something similar and she noticed too late that he didn't seem to feel well or be eating.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, Nancy! I always watch him. I never leave them around, but he tries to steal one the first second I do! ;)
ReplyDeleteHair curlers sound like great cat toys!
ReplyDeletePimp and Moo have never played with them, but I hear they are kitty favorites for sure!
ReplyDeletePimp LOVES raw spaghetti, too! (And I'm not admitting how long we've had a box in this house... hehe.)
ReplyDeleteNext trip to the store, for sure!
ReplyDeleteCopper loves twist ties, bottle caps, Q-tips, and balled up paper. Meiko prefers strings and hair ties
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I have a few of those around the house, too :)
ReplyDeleteI'm both relieved and amused. One of my cats loves hair ties, too, and knows which drawer they are stored in. I have to be sure I shut it all the way or he is working at it with his paw, trying to open the drawer enough to drag a hair tie out.
ReplyDeleteHarley loves any kind of wand toy! I like the Cat Dancer toy, and catnip toys, too.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your babies are beautiful, but that Pimp! He's one handsome boy! Those eyes are WOW!
ReplyDeleteHair ties are the best! I have had short hair for ages, but I kept all my hair ties for the cats to play with.
ReplyDeleteMy Eli goes nuts for my hair things too. He knows where they are kept and will come running if he hears the cabinet door. Milk jug rings are also the toy of choice.
ReplyDeleteMy Aly ADORES…twist-ties. The longer and bigger and wider the better, and she loves any color you have…as long as you have BLACK. And plastic. I have learned quickly that Aly will chase dustbunnies and spiders and twist-ties…but anything that krinkles and flashes and makes noise is Not A Toy. Except feathers. Any kind of feathers. She ruined six different dreamcatchers and actually had the nerve to PLUCK a STARLING…and got three feathers in a mouthful and every single bird got away, and my baby got pecked and heckled until winter.
