After four days of being stuck up there in bad weather, the man had his plan and was ready to put it in motion -- and he filmed the whole rescue!
My heart is truly warmed by this. There ARE nice people in the world! And after saving the scared and hungry cat, he kept her safe in his home with his other rescue kitty (and he's looking for permanent homes for them if anyone is interested!).
Watch the amazing rescue here:
Thanks to Cute's friend James for sharing this adorable cat rescued from a tree video!

God Bless that man! Great song too and I don't usually listen to country.
ReplyDeleteIndeed there are! Hope they have both found good homes by now!
ReplyDeleteMission accomplished! I was worried for both of them way up there. I wonder if they got adopted yet?
ReplyDeleteHope they have a new forever-home together!!! Good on him for going out of his way to rescue the cat...
ReplyDeleteBlessings to this man for his compassion. It couldn't have been easy for him. I was worried the tree wouldn't support his weight.
ReplyDeleteI know how hard it is to get a cat down. Mine got stuck 50 ft. up a tree for 10 hours on a windy day, getting tossed around by the wind. My neighbor helped me attempt to get her down had her in a duffle bag on a rope slowly lowering her down and then she fell out, dropped 30 ft.!!!! I was totally freaked out! After a quick trip to the vet she was given some fluids and treats and a bit of pain medicine for her sore achy muscles, recovered for two days and was fine! whew! She stays on a harness/ leash now when she goes outside so she doesn't go up the trees anymore.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good man for helping out that poor kitty! :)
This man is my hero. I tried to go to the CaveRunRescue site but wasn't able. Is there a way to get our thanks and praise to him? Also, do we know what part of KY he is in? Are they still up for adoption?
ReplyDeleteVery nice. They are pretty kitties
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful rescue! Such a nice man for doing this for this beautiful helpless cat. I love his song too!
ReplyDeleteI hope they find their forever loving home. In the meantime they are very lucky to be in the care of this man.
Thank you for nice people like him in this world for animals. They count too!!
Awesome....makes my heart warm all over!
ReplyDeleteReally a good guy;hope he keeps both of them.Hope my baby finds a guy like that
ReplyDeleteEveryone should have a guy like that! :)
ReplyDeleteI smiled the whole way through the video. :)
ReplyDeleteNot sure, Karrie. Someone shared this video with me, so I don't have any updates. I will try and find out!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got your kitty down and she was safe!
ReplyDeleteMe too! Good thing it all worked out. I even thought that branch was kind of small for the kitty to be on!
ReplyDeleteNot sure, Daisy. I will try and find out though!
ReplyDeleteI hope so, too!
ReplyDeleteI think it's the context. I usually don't either, but I liked this song, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty ! Great heart this man has !!
ReplyDeleteI know he's a good man if he cares about cats. When I was young, I wouldn't date a boy that didn't like cats. It truly is a good way to define one's character. This guy's a dear with a good heart. God bless him!!
ReplyDeleteX's
Great guy & great song!

ReplyDeleteIt's a long story, but the videos have been shared without his permission, and when it went viral, he very quickly got a Web site up last weekend.
