ReplyDeleteAren't they the most echanting little babies!!! These guys REALLY fascinate me; do they have a REALLY slow heart rate, which is why they are such slow moving, sleepy animals? I just love them, and the babies are even MORE enchanting - sleepily sharing that bean together! They are just adorable - even their massive climbing "claws" are beautiful. Just gorgeous little creatures. Have they been orphaned? Is that why they are in the sanctuary? What are their main predator? Is it road traffic? (That Mum has been tragically killed?) Thank goodness they have you wonderful people to love and care for them. We in Australia have alot of Kangaroos hit by cars, & so many must be carrying joeys, it is so sad, that people can just hit/kill Mum and do nothing about locating any Joey she may have. Our little Koalas the same, they are sooooooooo slooooooowwww moving, they do not have a hope, cars will not slow down even with lots of signage.
ReplyDeleteI have heard that about their heart rate. So interesting. I think they really are such interesting animals. I wonder what their predators are... maybe because they are just slow so they can't get away?
