Meet Cosgrove, a Kitten Born Without Eyes

Cosgrove is an adorable little kitten who plays and eats and jumps and loves just like any other baby... Except that he was born without any eyes.

Animals are amazing, and they don't let these little things bother them. Cosgrove is just cute as any kitten can be! (Your heart will melt when you see him strut with his head all up around at about 1:30 in the video.)

This pretty boy was dumped as a stray at a shelter, and they pitched in to get him the surgery he needed to close up his eyes so he stays healthy. Now he's on the mend, and no doubt off to a wonderful and fabulous life!

P.S. Cosgrove reminds me a lot of Oskar the blind kitten. What do you all think?

P.P.S. Speaking of cats who need homes, senior sisters Sera and Chloe still need a home! They can go separate if that works out better. They lived together before being surrendered at the shelter by me, but are not cuddle buddies. Please visit the post I wrote about them and spread the word!

  1. Awww! Bless his baby heart! I so hope he finds a loving home very soon. He so obviously doesn't need them as his other senses have taken over completely.
I am so sorry to hear that Chloe and Sera still have not been adopted. Prayers for all these 3, plus many many more!

  3. What a lovely Christmas cat. I'd choose Cosgrove, and the sisters, if I could possibly take them.
Being in the UK and seeing these cats does make me feel as though I want to do more.
    Here's hoping that someone does.
Some time with cats like these would be worth years of happiness.

  7. I'd take him in a second if I didn't already have 6 cats in the house!!! Autumn had to have one of his eyes removed last year due to glaucoma. The vet said to watch him as he might have depth perception problems at first. The minute he came home, he was running up and down the steps without any problems at all. It is remarkable how resilient cats can be.

  9. This made me cry. I love this cutie, and feel confident he will live a long happy life. God bless him, those who paid for his surgery and care, and of course the family who adopts him. All are special!

  14. What wonderful kitty -- as all the felines are wonderful, no doubt. If I were able and did not live in Damnark, I'd love to take Cosgrove and the sisters in, so here's hoping that someone relatively local can step up to the line ... that is, feLINE. :-)
