Two Cats Tuesday: I'm Not a Slob, Moo Is

Happy Two Cats Tuesday, Cuteheads! Do any of you have a little bit of mess in your house because of your cats? I do.

If you came to my place you'd think I never cleaned up around Pimp and Moo's food bowls and just let the dry food pile up and get messy. It's not MY fault, though, I swear!

I clean around their food bowls all the time. They have placemats that I regularly just empty into the garbage can. But then, here comes Moo...

Do you see all that food around the bowls? Guess who did that! And I just cleaned that up a day ago! Crazy cat.

  1. My cats are ALWAYS messy! They get cat food everywhere. And shred paper all over the living room. They're as bad as kids.

BTW, really cute shoes in the background. :-)

  2. This is why we keep the humans around, to clean up!

  4. Crazy lazy kitty!!! Okay, not really, but Moo is showing us what's really important: being able to get food easily. Despite the mess. Go, Moo!!! :-D

Is that an ostrich or flamingo on the wall behind the bowls? Cool!!!

  6. LOL, I keep telling Ginger that the kibble is supposed to go into the cat, not all over the floor. Does that do any good? Of course not ...

  7. Oh Moo, you don't even stand up to eat?! You're so silly!

  8. OMG moo  how lazy is that :-)   Grayball takes a mouthful of wet food and plops it on the floor   don't ask me why, so then there are dried crumbs of canned food around her bowl.

  10. I like how Moo looked around then stuck his paw in the bowl. Cute!

  11. Moo eats like my Uncle Buddy. He thinks dry food "discovered" singly or in small groups tastes better than what is piled in a bowl. Then eating these spread out kibbles is like getting his favorite Temptation treats.

  13. I don't think that's messy, that's just total enjoyment of the buffet!

  14. My kitten does the same thing; my cat Nala won't eat the food off the floor, only from the bowl but Jeddah (the kitten) loves to scoop the food out and chase it around the floor, eating it as she goes. :)

  15. So cute, helping with the cleaning like that..Is Moo still running for President??

  16. Maybe he is part goat. We eat our food from the ground.

  17. lolol! he prefers it off the floor - maybe the deep bowl hurts his whiskers!

  18. Now that is height of laziness. Toof unny. Eating lying down. And takes the food out with his paw. Well done Moo.

  19. I have one that purposefully drags a bit or two out of her bowl to eat it off the floor also. I've just about decided it's because she doesn't like her whiskers touching the bowl, so I'm going to try a plate.

  20. I guess my 6 cats (2 outsiders and 4 insiders) are oddfurrballs or something.  None of the make messes, none of them spill.  If they do they eat it up before continuing their grazing.  Now the two little local night visitor raccoons, Ricky and Rodah, the latest night visiting half grown opossum, Snarley, and the two neighborhood cast-outs (yet to be named cause they belong to the uncaring neighbor up the road) make messes you wouldn't believe ..... well maybe you would if you live in a very rural neighborhood (like 8 miles out of town) where the migrant residents of the overcrowded, over taxed, mis-managed city/town/village spill out and slowly take over the wild ones' homes and hunting grounds.

I try to leave food out for all, but SS checks just don't cover the cost anymore.  So, as of just recently, the outside resident girlkitties have food out till dark, then they have to wait until sunrise the next morning.  No mess.

Oh, Moo is well entitled to laze around and eat any way he sees fit donchaknow?  Ask any civilized, well, cared for, bean served cat and (s)he will tell you.  The privilege comes with the ownership of the servants/can openers/beans.

  21. Also, it just tastes better that way, right??

  22. I think Moo is a very relaxed cat. I have one that eats wet food and there are always crumbs around her dish....they are referred to as kitty krumbs. Tigger is much more careful and doesn't make a mess. '

    HI Roy....the Heathen says hello!!

  23. Sweet Pea is a neat eater, so all the mess is from Quinn xD He'll take a bite, then toss his head up, so food pieces get tossed around, as soon as I clean it it's messy again!

  24. Now see, you need a dog to clean up the kitteh messes. We is furry useful that way. We even clean litter boxes.

  25. Wally likes to eat food off the floor too.  His favorite game is to have me throw a piece of kibble across the floor and for him to chase it down.  He also has one of the same bowls as Moo does :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well, duh--otherwise he would have to stand up to eat. Sheesh. Standing AND eating is exhausting!

  27. I agree that it might be due to his tender whiskers - try using a plate without high rims.
